    “Whispers of Inspiration”

The sun rose on a small village nestled between rolling hills. In this village, a young girl named Lily lived. Lily possessed a heart full of dreams, and a spirit that knew no bounds. She aspired to be a writer, crafting tales that would inspire others. But as days turned into months, her dreams seemed to fade in the face of daily struggles.

One afternoon, as Lily walked through the village, she stumbled upon an old bookstore. Its wooden shelves were filled with weathered books that had stories to tell. The dusty scent of knowledge filled the air, and Lily felt a spark ignite within her. She stepped inside, mesmerized by the possibility that lay before her.

Behind the counter stood Mr. Anderson, the store’s elderly owner. With kind eyes and a gentle smile, he welcomed Lily. They soon struck up a conversation about their shared love for stories. Mr. Anderson revealed that he too had once harbored dreams of becoming a writer, but life had taken him on a different path.

As Lily perused the shelves, she stumbled upon a tattered book titled “Infinite Possibilities.” The pages were filled with stories of ordinary people who had achieved extraordinary feats through their unwavering determination. Inspired, Lily asked Mr. Anderson if she could borrow it.

Over the following weeks, Lily devoured the book’s stories, finding solace in its pages. She discovered that inspiration could be found in the most unexpected places, even in the pages of a forgotten book. Fueled by newfound determination, Lily began to write with fervor, pouring her heart onto the pages.

One day, Lily finished her first manuscript. It was a story of hope, resilience, and the power of dreams. Encouraged by her own tale, she mustered the courage to share it with the world. With the support of Mr. Anderson, she self-published her book, “Whispers of Inspiration.”

To her astonishment, Lily’s book became an overnight sensation. Readers across the world found solace and motivation within its pages. Lily’s dream of inspiring others had come true.

From that day forward, Lily continued to write stories that touched the hearts of many. She became a beacon of hope, reminding people that dreams were worth pursuing, no matter the obstacles. And in the quiet corner of that old bookstore, Lily’s journey began, reminding us all that sometimes, the greatest inspiration can be found within ourselves.

  • Alina And Robin, an Inspiring Love Story

Alina And Robin, an Inspiring Love Story

Alina was raised in a very poor family and lived in the small town of New Castle. She had three other sisters but no father, and she worked tirelessly with her mother to provide for their daily needs. She first picked up rags, then she sold newspapers at train stations and worked as a maid. Eventually, she developed new aspirations and, after traveling widely, experiencing great humiliation, and meeting many people, she decided to join an NGO. As time went on, she developed into a social activist and started her orphanages, charities, and schools. One day, while visiting an orphanage to collect donations, she saw a handsome man named Robin who was only 24 years old and confined to a wheelchair. Robin was trying desperately to get up from his chair, but he could not do so. At first sight, only she started loving him and at the same time she decided I will make him stand up from his chair at that time Robin didn’t know that Alina loves him. One day, Alina approached Robin in a very casual way. She struck up a conversation with him and inquired as to how he came to be physically challenged. Alina recognized that Robin was suffering from a great deal of heartache and had endured a great deal of humiliation, so she was determined that she could resolve all of the issues with her love. Robin had tears in his eyes and said, “I don’t know,” with a heavy heart because he didn’t even know who his parents were and that since the moment, he had opened his eyes, he had been in an orphanage. Alina started coming to the orphanage regularly, and Robin gradually began to feel at ease and happy with her. Before meeting Alina, Robin was counting down the days until he died, but after meeting her, he wanted to live his life to the fullest. As time went on, Alina continued to inspire Robin to get out of his wheelchair and take action by telling him the success stories of other physically disabled people. Alina took Robin to a physiotherapist and set up many online classes so that he could study while in a wheelchair. Over time, Robin gradually recovered and developed a new personality. After two years, he began walking, and he was now very confident. After three years, he attended many interviews and received a good job. However, gradually when everything was going well, Robin began to forget Alina. In his office, he met a new girl named Sofia who was very attractive and came from a wealthy family. She began loving him because he had developed into a very skilled person, but somewhere along the line, he forgot that all of his skills and personality came from Alina. Alina used to get in touch with Robin because she still thought the world of him, but Robin continued to be busy with Sofia. Alina’s health was declining daily, and each day she insisted on meeting Robin, but he never showed up. A very sad situation occurred one day when Robin suffered a severe accident on the way to his office and lost both of his eyes. For two weeks, physicians searched for them. While treating his wound with harsh medications for the eye donor, his kidney problems steadily developed. Robin was astonished when the doctor abruptly relocated him to the operating room and informed him that he had found a donor for both his eyes and kidneys. After a successful kidney transplant and eye surgery, Robin was eager to find out who had donated his eyes and kidneys. After numerous requests, the doctor finally gave Robin a page with the following writing: “The day I Saw You I Fell in Love with You but I Didn’t Confession Because If I Had Confessions That Day Then U Would Have Understand That.” I’m showing you mercy since you wouldn’t have stood up for yourself. I gave myself to you because I loved you with all of my heart and soul, and when you told me that you loved Sofia, I left your life, dying in your memories. However, when I heard that you had an accident, I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to give myself to you. Now, when you open your eyes, you’ll feel me; when you breathe, you’ll smell me; and it will be enough for me to leave this world. My love and blessings are always with you, my dear. Robin was speechless and for their whole life it became a guilt for Robin that he forgets the girl who made her up and never married now he is also completing the dream of Alina to help poor and physically impaired persons and he named the organization Alina and Robin.

  • Truth always wins?

Once upon a time there was a girl, named Aarna. She was sweet, polite, decent and belonged to a good family in Kanpur. She shifted to Mumbai for her studies and stayed as paying guest with two other girls Sakshi and Vidya in a 1 BHK house in Bandra.  She was like the girl next door, very relatable at times and very helpful. Sakshi on the other hand was an extrovert, outspoken and bold. Vidya was a bookworm, introvert, shy and kind of a coward. Despite of their different personalities, they got along really well, they became so close to each other that it was like a new family for them.  They all went to the same college and were in the same class. They passed their first year degree with good grades and decided to celebrate.

They went clubbing the next day their results came out. It was only the three of them. While dancing on the loud music one guy approached Sakshi but Sakshi blew him off. So Aarna said, “Common he was so hot why did you have to blow him off”. Sakshi was like he’s not my type. Aarna said, so then go find your type.

    Sakshi – ‘ Now’ , Aarna – ‘ Yes common let’s find a guy of your type ‘

When they were talking to each other,  the guy that approached Sakshi, heard their conversation and bumped into Sakshi and asked, ‘ who’s your type, I bet I can be exactly what you want!’. Sakshi looked at Aarna and Aarna gave her a nod to go talk to him , but Vidya stopped her, she said, ‘ you don’t know him’ . Aarna said, ‘ She will have to talk in order to know him’.  Sakshi went with that guy , his name was Aakash, they enjoyed each other’s company, exchanged numbers then later Aakash with his friend Aman dropped the girls at their home in his car.

After a few days, Sakshi and Aakash became official. Aarna was the happiest one but Vidya had her doubts, She said, ‘ this guy looks a little off to me’. Aarna was like why ?, he seems fine to me. Vidya asks ‘ do you know where he stays?’ Sakshi replies ‘yes , he stays on rent with his friend Aman just like us in Goregaon.’  Aarna interupts ‘ enough with your doubts, let her live.’ Vidya was like okay fine.

A month later Aarna asked Sakshi to find out of Aman’s single. Sakshi said ‘yes he is’.  Then Aman and Aarna got along really quick and started dating. The four of them started hanging out together, but Vidya felt a little left out. She even tried to talk about it with her friends but they said we’ll find someone for you too. Everything was going really well until one day Aarna came home late, around 1.30 in the morning and she rang the doorbell. Nobody opened the door. She tried to call Sakshi but she didn’t pick up. So she went to their neighbour’s house where they had kept an extra pair of keys. The neighbours were a little pissed for disturbing them so late, she apologized and came to open the door. As soon as she got inside her house, she closed the door, the lights were off, so she went to switch it on. The moment there was light in the room, Aarna saw something that have her shivers. She was shocked, couldn’t move couldn’t speak, she was trembling, tears came falling out of her eyes and then she gathered the courage to scream. Her scream was so loud, she didn’t know when to stop. She fell down on her knees, devastated, disturbed, confused, emotional, too many emotions all together.

What she saw was her friend Sakshi’s dead body hanging on the ceiling fan. Vidya was not at home, Aarna’s scream woke up a lot of their neighbours and they all came checking at their house. One of them called the police. The police came and took Aarna to the police station as witness. They started questioning her, she said that Sakshi had a little fight with her boyfriend maybe that had led her take this drastic step. Police asked about Sakshi’s boyfriend, Aarna gave them the name and address. When police went to that address, there was nobody there. They again interrogated Aarna , she was surprised then she showed them the photo of Aakash. The police said this is Aakash, he’s the son of former chief minister of Maharashtra. Aarna was shocked, she had no idea about this. The police said don’t try to put this on an innocent boy. She said I had no idea who he is. He used to stay with his friend named Aman . The police said, Aman is his cousin brother. You are fooling us around, where is your other flatmate. Aarna replied ‘she has no idea’. The police sent a force to find Vidya. Until then, Aarna was sent home. The next day, police came and arrested Aarna in the murder of Sakshi. Aarna kept shouting on top of her voice that she has not done anything. The police said they have evidence and witness. She asked who is the witness. The police said they have statement of their neighbours that boys used to come to your house everyday and you all used to party all night with alcohol and drugs. Aarna was shocked, she said this isn’t true. There is other part to this story. The police asked ‘you want us to conduct a blood test for you because you know that you did drugs. Aarna said ‘I’m not denying that I did drugs but I was forced, I didn’t want to do it but they forced us’ . The police asked ‘who’? Aarna said ‘ Aakash and Aman’ , they used to bring drugs and they forced us to join them. The police said, ‘ so tell me when was the last time they came into your house with drug’ Aarna replied ‘ a week ago ‘ . The police said, ‘ then how did we find this packet of cocaine in your house?’ Aarna was shocked, she literally had no idea about this. She had nothing to say, but she gathered some courage to question the officer that how does these thing prove that I killed Sakshi ? The police replied ” we have statement of Aman and Akash and they said you were jealous of Sakshi. Aarna said ‘why would I be jealous of her ?’ The police said because you were in love with Aakash but it was Sakshi whom Aakash loved. Aarna was shocked, she said ‘this is all bizzare, not true at all’ . So this isn’t true that you loved Aakash?  “NO” Aarna replied, he’s the one who got close to me. And what did you do when he got close to you? The police asked. Aarna took a moment to put everything into words, she said ‘it was a trap, they did this to us. They killed her, they killed Sakshi, it was then not me” She kept repeating the same thing. Then they put her in jail.

Later that day, Aarna’s parents came to Mumbai and found out that she’s in jail. They came to visit her and after seeing her they could hardly understand anything. They didn’t let her talk until the court hearing.

Two days later the police caught Vidya, she was in her hometown Nagpur. She was brought into jail for confession. She denied knowing anything. She played safe. According to her she had left in the morning of the day Sakshi died, because her mom was sick. She said Aarna, Aman, Sakshi and Aakash used to hangout together all the time and she was not even in the picture. She also denied knowing anything about the drugs or the guys. Then the police asked Sakshi about Aarna having feelings for Aakash. Vidya said that’s true. She said Aarna was not happy with Sakshi and Aakash’s relationship, she tried her level best to break it. Vidya said that Aarna was involved in drug supply and one day she druged Aakash to make out with her against his will but Sakshi found out about it, maybe that could be the reason why she committed suicide. The police took Vidya’s confessions and sent her home.

Then came the day of Aarna’s hearing in the court.  Aarna vowed that she will only speak the truth and that is what she did. She said, ” the four of us got along and started hanging out but we had no idea about their identity, we didn’t know who they were and what they are capable of. They are the one’s who are actually involved in drug business. They try to find a safe place to hide their stock. They gained our trust and hid those packets of drugs at our houses. One day Aakash and Aman came into our house for night out and they also brought a few friends of theirs. So it was me and Sakshi and four other guys. They spiked our drink and when me and Sakshi were druged the four of them raped us and also made videos of it. The next day Aakash came and showed me the video where he was kissing me and he accused me to have taken advantage of him when he was drunk. He then showed that video to Sakshi and said I took advantage of him. Sakshi was very upset with m, I tried to explain her that I could never do that to her but she was so angry with me. Then Aman came and broke up with me for what I did with Aakash. But that day I found out that out bathroom ceiling had a hidden closet where I found packets of cocaine. I instantly understood who did this. So I went to Aakash and told him that I’ll go to police and register a complain about him but he blackmailed me the video that they had made of me and Sakshi. I was shattered, I didn’t know what to do so Aakash told me that if I help him sexually he will delete our videos. I couldn’t think of anything, I didn’t understand what to do so I came home and told Vidya about everything. She said that we should immediately get rid of the cocaine at our home. So me and Vidya both took the packets and emptied it in the sea because we were scared and couldn’t think of anything else. While we were out destroying drugs, Aakash came into our home to see Sakshi but there he found out that his drugs are missing. So he immediately called me and I told him that I got rid of it and also I’m not scared of the video. Aakash got so angry that he leaked Sakshi’s video but not mine because I said I’m not afraid of him. He couldn’t think of anything else so he confronted Sakshi. He told her that he had hidden his drugs in our house worth rupees 250 crores and I destroyed it. He asked Sakshi that who will pay his 250 crores. Sakshi couldn’t think of anything, she didn’t understand a word that he said. Then Aakash showed her the video of hers that he leaked and told her this is how you will have to pay me. I’ll send you customers, you will charge them by selling yourself or do whatever you want to do I don’t care I just want my money back. Sakshi could hardly speak knowing that her video is already out, she was shattered and broken. Then Aakash told her, if you and your friend doesn’t pay me back, I’ll go to the police and file a complain against you that you are involved in drug dealing and it will be very easy for me because when you guys will have a medical check up, it will appear in your system, so you only have two choices, either pay me my money back or send a lifetime in jail.

After that Aakash left. This is when Sakshi committed suicide and I know this because she sent me a suicide note voicemail in my phone before hanging herself, which I heard after reaching home and after seeing Sakshi’s dead body right in front of me.

I was with Vidya the whole time, but while coming home after Aakash’s phone call, Vidya got another call from an unknown number. I’m assuming that call was from either Aakash or Aman who gave her a chance to save herself from all that had happened only if she helps saving them. When I was taken to police station after Sakshi’s death, I forgot my phone at the house which had Sakshi’s voicemail and then I never found it again. Nobody would have seen Vidya coming back to the house to keep another packet of cocaine as an evidence against me because all our neighbours were in police station and who else had the keys to our home. Then she took my phone and disappeared. I’m assuming they offered her a good amount of money for doing what she did. That’s all I have to say. This is my truth and the rest is fake story that they made up to save themselves”.

The court heard Aarna’s confession and took it into consideration and gave another date of hearing which was next week. But until the next week Aarna had realised what would the decision be, as in two years she has very well understood how the system works, how girls are taken advantage of, how corrupt every officer is, how money can bend morals. She was prepared and when the day of the result came she wasn’t surprised to know that the decision was not in her favour. The court said that they don’t have any evidence of what Aarna said. They couldn’t even find the leaked video of Sakshi. Also Vidya’s mom gave her statement that Vidya was in Nagpur on the day of Sakshi’s death. The court sentenced Aarna lifetime prisonment under the reason behind Sakshi’s death and also for being involved in drug supply.

    THE END.

  • Amma’s Lipstick

A chaotic Monday morning in a middle class home. Amma was busy rolling out parathas while Appa was engrossed within the sheets of newspaper . And I, a 2nd grader , pumped up with energy was heading towards my next mission.

I silently walked on my tiptoes  to grab Amma’s new red liquid lipstick. “Oh shit, Amma’s payal, she is coming ,act normal .” I picked up comb and started brushing my own fountain ponytail .”Good acting, Amma couldn’t tell.” I quickly grabbed the lipstick and ran towards my room.

“Drawing sheets, paintbrushes, a rag, what else I need , I guess I am missing upon something ” I mumbled to myself . “Ah steel plate for palette .” I rolled the lipstick under the drawing sheets so that even if Appa or Amma come, they can’t catch me spoiling lipstick .”Although I won’t spoil it . Just require a small amount to paint the roses I drew . Amma would not buy me watercolor set as she thinks I will soon get bored of it .” I said to myself.

I went to kitchen and picked up the plate and then Amma said ” You are going to have apples that I have sliced for you?” “Of course  Amma ” I said . But I was fully focused on finishing my painting, ditched the apples and quickly came back to my room,  got settled down and started painting. Dipped the tip of paintbrush first in water and then in lipstick and then with a beating heart ,I placed the  paintbrush on the drawing and started painting . “Woah ! I really did a good job .” I exclaimed while holding the painting upwards proudly . Soon I was so engrossed that had completely forgotten about Amma .

The door creaked open and there came Amma looking for me . My face turned pale and the first thought that cam across my mind was, ‘now Appa can only save me’. Amma’s anger gave in as she saw the painted sheets . She gently stroked my hairs and asked me what was I doing . I explained her everything and she burst out in laughter . She said that I could have desperately asked her to buy me watercolors instead of doing this. I laughed sheepishly. The whole drama I had created was narrated to Appa and he too burst out in laughter over my silliness.

The very same evening Amma took me to stationary shop in nearby locality and over there I bought my very first set of ‘Rangeela tempera colors’ and I still remember , I held it very proudly promising that I will create wonders with it . This memory never fails to bring a smile on my face and still holds a special place at the bottom of my heart.

  • “The Unconditional one”

    “The Unconditional one”

Just like the two sides of a coin, life is basically a unpredictable bittersweet journey…..This ambivalence has more of  bitter tastes . These hard phases seem less difficult with someone to have your back on . Finding some genuine people has become so tedious in this generation .

A beautiful and unconditional partner is not perfect and don’t want you to be perfect either . The right one will love your mess and will try to turn your insecurities into perfections. The one who makes you strong and life seems less difficult with them. Love does not only means a physical intimate bond , true intimacy is that when someone understands your unsaid thoughts . A listener , who is there for you. A true relationship is about love , trust , communication, respect, support and understanding through all ups and downs. The slow , uncomplicated , unconditional love where intimacy of eye contacts is more than anything else .This is the kind of love you deserve . The one who understands you without saying anything because they know you well . The love where everything is more than just physical attraction. You deserve someone who is sure of you , that you are very sure of .The love when you wait for each other to be perfect until and unless you both are ready to unleash the world.

  • Mom

    Mom

Mom is another thing that we often take as granted, just like oxygen, water and electricity. Now, some people here will be like, oh my god! How can you compare mom to a thing? Or , a woman is not a thing! And blah, blah, blah, without even reading the whole story! Like seriously? Anyway let’s continue while ignoring such kind of people who create unnecessary drama and shows themselves as a liberal person in public who take care of their wives and treat them no less than a queen . But only they know what is the truth. It’s true that our thoughts keep evolving with time. And when people change their statements and thoughts with time, they are called as fickle , or vague , or unstable to their statements by the so called netizens. I’ve always been closer to my mother and saw her working every minute of the day , for every day of the month and for every month of the year and for every year since she came into this house after being married to her husband, my father of course. Now that doesn’t mean that I hate my father or he doesn’t much work. He is a really good father and I share very good relation with him, he also works very hard this house. And my grandmother, she also keeps helping my mom in the households. But she have various advantages like, she can rest whenever she wants, she do work whenever she wants to or mom will do it anyway, she can go and sit for an uncountable number of hours in our relatives house. But my mom , it’s not like she feels caged or feels like being harassed, because our family is really a sweet one. She thinks that taking care of us is the only target of her life now. She says , that she will be happy to work even more if it results in my success. That smile never leaves her face, when she talks about having dinner in a 5 star hotel, the day I will pay the bill with my first salary. She’s growing old, not because of age but because of the hard work she do and want to fulfill all her dreams as soon as possible.

  • Bird In A Cage

    Bird In A Cage

Sitting locked up on the bathroom floor, knees brought up to her chest, her throat choking on her tears so as to not let out a sound or let anyone know, it was just another night for the little girl. Not the girl she wanted to become. All she ever wanted was to have a normal happy life with loving parents who are proud of her with every accomplishment she made. But she was so misfortunate that she got none of it.

Her life, in anyway, was neither normal nor happy. Her parents showed her the love but never truly loved her. Moreover, they always expected her to be “a little” more. They were never happy with any of her accomplishments, let alone proud. The little girl never got the things she wanted. And to get over all these emotions of being the “disappointment of the family”, this was the only way for her without bothering her parents with another burden than she already gave them.

All these cries every night was done by her with one and only one motive: To be able to see the next morning’s sun and continue to strive for her recognition in her parents’ eyes. It was as if she had caged herself and her true emotions inside her for her parents to see just the hard work which they would ignore anyways. Nighttime would become the time she finally opens the cage and lets herself out without letting anyone see.

The moon, the stars, and the four walls were the only ones who accompanied her through these times when she needed someone so badly but was never able to tell anyone, or “become a burden” as she thought herself to be.

The moon and all the stars would sometime even hide behind the clouds to weep in place of her and give her the comforting sounds of the thunderstorms. The sound of thunderstorms that everyone feared so much were like comforting music and sight to her. During such nights, she would stop her cries and look up to catch a sight of one of those bright lights and hear those loud sounds of explosions. After which, she would doze off into a peaceful deep sleep, one of the best sleeps of her life.

    THE END
