    Prophecy Master

Ratanpur is a beautiful village surrounded by green mountains and blue sea. A natural relation of give and take between human and forest developed around the area. Baali is a residence of this village. His family consist of his wife Ratna and a six year old daughter, Sita. Baali is a woodcutter. He was happily living his life unknowingly of what is going to come next?

One day in the morning he went to the forest for cutting trees. The soil was wet as it had rained last night. The weather was delightful. In coastal areas rains are not a strange phenomenon. He choose a different path to enter forest. By its appearance it did not take much time for him to realize that he had never been in this part of forest before. He was taking his time to believe that even as a permanent residence of Ratanpur, he had never heard about such beautiful part of forest. He entered their and unpacked his equipment. All of a sudden a bright light hit him. It appeared to him as the whole sky is filled with this bright light. It happened instantly and Baali failed to cover his eyes. A small portion of this light entered in his eyes and then Baali became unconscious.

His eyes open after two hours. He found himself lying in the forest. This time the forest looks normal. He thought that maybe he was dreaming. But than How he ended up in forest?

He spent his whole day thinking about that incident although he did not disclose it to anyone. He himself was not sure of what happened to him, whether it was dream or imagination. The next night he had a dream where he saw an underground aquifer source of fresh water near the mountain. The next morning, out of curiosity he dig that area and to his surprise he discovered fresh water. He told everyone about it and all the villagers became happy as with a new fresh water source, agricultural irrigation will be easy.

Baali was happy in his life. He and his wife are among those people who are satisfied in whatever they had. Next month he had a dream where he saw that within two days the eastern side of village is going to face land slide. In the morning he informed the Sarpanch about it. Rain had already started and something about it was off. He managed to vacate the eastern area of village and as predicted the village witnessed a terrible rainfall followed by a land slide. Now everyone begins to trust Baali’s dreams. Some even stated that the God is blessing them and Baali is their representative. The news spread quickly. People from every other village come to visit him asking for his prophecies. And just like that he gained respect and wealth in the village.

Now, he is having dreams frequently, each time related to his neighbours, villagers, and other people, sometime even those people who he had never seen came to his dreams. This way a lot of people visit his home with a hope of any prophecy in their favour. Baali was happily helping everyone.

Baali’s work had given him a unique name and people now started addressing him as ‘Prophecy master’. One day he had a dream where he saw that a tsunami hit their village. It destroyed fields, cattle died, people drawn and devastated forest. When Baali wake up, he cried for a minute. The reason behind his tears is that he had also seen his daughter’s dead body. He was determined that he is going to save his daughter. After some days a tsunami wave hit the village and it doesn’t matter how much affords Baali and his wife made. Their daughter had died in front of them.

What appear to be a blessing soon take place of a curse. It took everything from Baali. Their family’s atmosphere filled with stress, guilt and sadness.

Baali, scared of sleep, tried hard to avoid sleep. These days he only saw deaths in his dreams. Whatever made him saw good dreams only desired people’s attentions. When Baali stopped seeing those people, it started showing him deaths. Afraid Baali, tries to avoid death but today sleep felt like the cure of his anxiety. He slept and saw death of his wife. And as predicted she died.

With no hope Baali realized that everything has a price to pay. Nothing unusual come in life free of cost. He shouldn’t have earned wealth from it than maybe it had left in first place.

    Godsent

The most life-changing thing that has ever happened at an airport with me was not related to an airport crush, some scandalous beef with a co-passenger, or any other conventional thing that pops up in your mind when you go to the airport.

I had been at a very strange place in my life at that point in time, forget a job, I was unhappy with the career that I got into, and my love life was as fleeting and flickering, to sum it up, I was just unhappy. As a coping mechanism, when things start to go array, I usually book the first flight home that I can. Not because I need the comfort or the warmth, but because I need an escape, even if it is just temporary. Most things in my life are temporary. That is one topic I want to avoid. Anyway, this time the crisis was being unhappy with literally every aspect of my life here in Bangalore. I needed some of that vanilla cake that my mom baked and the late-night drives with my brothers. These were the only things I had been looking forward to for the past week.

The cab ride to the airport that day was, very surprisingly, pleasant. Maybe it was the weather, the sunset, or the fact that I was going home, whatever the reason was, it started to feel like things would turn out to be just fine. However, the airport was unusually crowded for a reason I could not fathom. I mean, it was not a long weekend, or even a weekend, no holiday or festival was upcoming, whatever it was, I did not appreciate the long check-in lines and not finding a place to sit for almost 10 minutes. When I finally found one, I was approached by this middle-aged guy with spectacles, who looked like someone I might know. Moments later, when he was close enough for me to see him clearly, he indeed was someone I used to know.

He recognized me too. “Anvita!” he said, “Where are you headed to?”

“Home, sir, been a long time since I last visited, I think the homesickness is messing a little with my head,” I replied to my college professor, who was one of the few professors I actually respected.

“Aah, understandable. How is the corporate world treating you? You know, Anvita, I never took you to be the corporate kind. Do not get me wrong, as much as I appreciate the stable source of a 10-digit income, I always thought you had a calling for art, literature, and all things poetic.”

It baffled me how he casually just put some salt on my wounds, without having an idea that I could burst into tears when I think about it for too long. I became what I despised the most. I became what I feared the most. I don’t remember the last time I read a book, and that sent a chill down my spine, because how could one lose sight of what they always were, how could one lose themselves? The thoughts that had been deliberately locked away in my mind found their way out. For the past few months, I had been questioning my career, and my choices, but this one-minute interaction with Shamik sir had me questioning myself. He always did that during debate club meetings when he would bring in points of view that would have me questioning all my beliefs. This time it felt like he was a godsend to me. Why else would I reach the airport 2 hours early despite the traffic, why else would the boarding of his flight be delayed, why else would I find a seat at a completely different boarding gate? I was never a believer in signs from the universe or manifestations, but desperate people find faith, so now I took it as one.

“I still have a calling for that, sir. I think the network is a bit problematic at the moment, but I believe I will find a way to make it work.” I said as casually as I could to not portray the storm that just raged on in my mind. The storm that eventually a year later made me start writing my first book, made me take poetry seriously, and made me read all the books I had been planning to but never found the time to. That day I realized that there is no point in waiting for a miracle, in hoping a story would come to me, or in complaining about everything that has been going wrong. That day, I was sent in the direction of finding myself, and I will forever be grateful for that.

  • Where the Happiness lies!

    Where the Happiness lies!

Life has forever been a turbulent voyage, yet its tempests do not extinguish the flame of hope. With this unwavering belief, Mahi continued her sojourn. She traversed the uncharted paths, a solitary traveler in search of happiness. Her hopes, indomitable, refused to shatter. Although life’s misfortunes compounded, she clung to the conviction that brighter days awaited, even as darkness deepened. Ultimately, she discovered the elusive abode of genuine bliss. Let us accompany her on this odyssey, to unearth where true happiness truly resides.

As the clock struck seven in the morning, the sun’s radiant beams caressed Mahi’s visage. She shifted her position, veiling herself momentarily from its luminous gaze. Shortly after, her alarm chimed, and she pressed the snooze button, realizing that sleep would evade her after such commotion. She recited religious verses, drawing a tranquil breath to release the accumulated frustration triggered by the alarm. Opening her eyes, she beheld her humble abode, with a small but beautiful garden adorning the outside. Illuminated by the morning light, the plants within her room appeared pristine. This sight brought immense joy to Mahi’s heart. Before she could rise from her bed, her mother’s voice echoed from outside, “Will our queen rise on this day?” Her mother had a habit of forcefully knocking on the door, a sound that Mahi detested. With haste, she sprinted to open the door, unwilling to endure the noise. Her mother scolded her upon seeing her disheveled hair, pondering how the day could possibly be good with such untamed locks. Could a pleasant day unfold under such circumstances? But what can one do? Life’s essence lies in living it. Mahi sought tranquility and found solace in the quietest place of her dwelling—the “toilet.” Spending a few moments there, she flushed away the negativity that had burdened her mood.

Mahi ventured into the kitchen, performing her morning rituals before settling down to savor a cup of tea. As she indulged in her tea, memories of last night’s argument with her brother resurfaced. Anxious that her brother’s day might be ruined, she swiftly penned him sweet messages, wishing to mend their bond. Once ready, she set off for the office, a cherished place where she accomplished the workload of four individuals, compensated by meager remuneration. Nonetheless, she relished the slightest token of appreciation, contented in the knowledge that her skills were recognized. It wasn’t that Mahi was unaware of being exploited; she simply found contentment in witnessing her own growth, and appreciation was the elixir for which she thrived. It did drain her energy, though, especially when burdened with excessive tasks, causing her to yearn for her best friend’s comforting presence. But whenever Mahi called, her friend always seemed preoccupied, a different story altogether. Nevertheless, her best friend would reach out to Mahi during work hours, requesting her assistance, and Mahi, forsaking her own tasks, would diligently fulfill her friend’s needs.

Upon returning home in the evening, Mahi pursued her passions, be it writing, drawing, or engaging in culinary endeavors within the kitchen. Her entire day revolved around the bustling chores, ensuring everyone’s tasks were accomplished to perfection, and that they, in turn, would acknowledge her efforts with heartfelt appreciation. Mahi lived for these expressions of gratitude. Before retiring for the night, she stood before the mirror, tearfully observing her reflection. In that vulnerable moment, Mahi would offer solace to herself, appreciating her own strength. It is in this act of self-compassion that true

happiness lies. Friends, irrespective of the number of companions and loved ones we have in our lives, we must always remember that we ought to be our own foremost and unwavering advocates. If we cannot support ourselves, then who shall?

  • The truth

And his lie made his situation worst…….!So, never lie to your loved ones. Ending her story this way…… grandma forced her grandson Kanishka to sleep because it’s already been 12 o clock of night.

Kanishka was listening her story in a very concentrated manner and agreed to do so.

He came and sat next to him. That man moved his hand forward and what? Kanishka saw a lot of chocolates in his hand. Oh wow! These are all for me uncle?

Yes! Take these. But promise me one thing you will never talk about this with anyone. I will give you more and make you see the magic world full of chocolates. Kanishka, a first class boy frightened a little bit and remembered all the stories said by his grandmother. But then he thought that even he is a bus conductor of his school bus and took all the chocolates and thanked to him.

At 3 pm, he reached home and saw that everyone is panicked and seeing t.v in a concentrated manner.

He jumped in tha lap of his grandmother and asked what happened grandma?

Grandmother told him that his classmate is missing. What grandma? Missing means? Grandma cleared all his questions and told him that never involve in stranger’s talk.

He remembered that bus conductor quickly who gave him all the chocolates. But didnt told about him to his grandmother as he promised that man to keep this secret.

Next day! He came from school and again heard that news of missing of classmate. This time he panicked and thought the behaviour of that man. But he wanted to go the magic world as promised by the man. Then he striked the story of his grandmother that said never lie to your loved ones.

He went to his grandmother and told all the story that had happened previously.

His grandmother called the police and told them all.

Another day…..the news came that the man was the culprit and he was arrested by the police  as he kidnapped two of his classmates by making them greedy through chocolates.

Kanishka and his mom now feeling proud of him as he didnt only save himself but other students too by saying the truth.

So, sometimes our grandparents tell the moral of life through their stories. Always listen to them and follow them.

Never lie to your loved ones!.

  • A Fearfull Loss

Once upon a time in a small village nestled amidst rolling hills, there lived a man named Thomas. He was known for his strong physique, unwavering courage, and unyielding determination. His closest companion and confidant were his beloved, Emily, whose laughter and gentle touch brought immeasurable joy and support to his world.

But one fateful day, tragedy struck. Emily fell gravely ill, her vibrant spirit fading with each passing day. Thomas stood by her side, his heart heavy with worry and anguish. He sought the best medical care, consulted renowned specialists, and prayed fervently for a miracle to save his beloved wife.

Despite his unwavering efforts, fate had its plans. Emily’s condition deteriorated, and on a mist-laden morning, she peacefully passed away, leaving Thomas heartbroken and adrift in a sea of sorrow.

Grief engulfed William like a suffocating fog. His once-bustling home now felt empty and silent, the laughter and warmth extinguished. Every corner whispered memories of Emily, leaving him shattered and lost. The days blurred together as he tried to make sense of a world that no longer held the same meaning without her.

One night, unable to bear the loss of his wife any longer and he found solace in a small journal that Emily had given him on their anniversary. It was a collection of her thoughts, dreams, and cherished moments they had shared. In its pages, he found the essence of their love, their hopes, and the dreams they had built together. Thomas decided to finally confront his loss head-on. With a resolute heart, he embarked on a journey to embrace his wife’s memories and accept the truth.

He traveled far and wide, seeking the beauty of nature that resembles his wife to accept his loss. Through his travels, Thomas encountered a wise old sage who lived on the top of a mountain. The sage, named Alis, had spent a lifetime studying the human mind and the complexities of fear. Thomas spent days with him and finally understood the value of acceptance. The sage asked him to let solace go to accept the fact.

With a heavy heart but newfound determination, Thomas sought solace in the beauty of nature that had always enchanted them both. He strolled along the shore, letting the rhythmic sound of crashing waves wash away his sorrow. He found comfort in the gentle embrace of the wind as if it carried Emily’s whispers of encouragement.

In time, Thomas’s pain transformed into a bittersweet acceptance. He began to cherish the memories he had shared with Emily, and his grief no longer overshadowed the love they had experienced. He understood that their bond transcended the realm of the physical, and though he missed her deeply, their connection remained unbreakable.

Thomas then immersed himself in projects that reflected Emily’s passions, bringing her spirit to life through the art she loved. He painted vibrant landscapes, capturing the essence of the natural world they had both adored. He also established a scholarship in her name, supporting young artists to pursue their dreams—a testament to their shared belief in the transformative power of creativity.

Through his art and philanthropy, Thomas discovered a new purpose—a way to keep Emily’s memory alive and honor the love they had shared. The pain of his loss would always be present, but he refused to let it consume him. Instead, he channeled his grief into creating a legacy of love and inspiration. Thomas carried Emily’s love within him, embracing life’s joys and challenges, knowing that she would forever be by his side, guiding him on his path.

  • MIDNIGHT HORROR.

    MIDNIGHT HORROR.

    september 23, 1999

A young girl was walking down the aisle of a big hotel, named after the famous dancer Michael Jackson, the name of the hotel was MicKson. The young girl was wearing a yellowish dress which gives a wealthy smell. And the elegance in her walk helps you to smell the scent of money. With her black high heels, she looked somewhat older than her age with her dressing scene but if you look at her pale skinned face, with cracks on her pinkish lips making it difficult for her to talk because the cracks might open more and she could bleed much more.

MicKson is a hotel situated at the centre of the city forest which is deep enough that there’s no sunlight in there. MicKson, was created there so that people could stay in nature without human interactions and interruption. The hotel area is twice than any other hotel in the city. What’s concerning is, people think something is weird in the hotel as every summer exactly one hundred and one people visit the hotel and no one could find the whereabouts of a hundred people. Only one of the people who were there can be spotted by the police and that person as well doesn’t remember anything.

It all started after the construction of the hotel MicKson was finished in 1988 , the local authorities started to receive a phone call which addressed the concern that people went missing in the MicKson hotel at midnight. The police tried to find people, but since a decade no one was found, not a single hair or body was found. The hotel only opens in summer for a month and exactly one hundred and one people join the hotel as a guest and since a decade a thousand people have gone missing.

The young girl walking down the aisle started getting blurry eyesight and she tried to breathe and she couldn’t. So she tried to touch everything to get the help and also rang the emergency bell, in the hope that someone might come and get her medical attention. But things were not as she thought they would be, and she fell on the ground with her eyes opened. It seemed like her body was paralyzed, she could only see the empty long aisle of the hotel, with the ceiling getting narrowed at the very far from her sight. From the corner of the aisle, she saw people rushing to her. She was glad to see a lot of people there, but they didn’t have eyes, not mouth and the marched towards her in full speed. At the blink of her eyes, she saw them coming nearer and nearer towards her. She gets the craziest thought of her life, that these are not people and she’s about to get crushed, when she thought that she fainted.

  • Village Deception.

Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a wise old man named Thomas. He was known for his kindness and compassion towards everyone in the village. People would often seek his advice and guidance in times of trouble. Thomas believed in the power of honesty and hard work and taught these values to the villagers.

One day, a young man named Michael arrived in the village. He was ambitious but lacked moral values. Michael was cunning and had a habit of deceiving others to fulfill his selfish desires. He noticed the respect and admiration people had for Thomas and saw an opportunity to exploit it for his personal gain.

Michael approached Thomas with a plan. He said, “Thomas, I have an idea to make a lot of money quickly. We can pretend to possess a magic stone that can turn any metal into gold. We can convince the villagers to buy this stone from us and become wealthy.”

Thomas, being wise, saw through Michael’s deceitful intentions. He gently smiled and replied, “Michael, true wealth does not come from tricking others or making quick money. It comes from hard work, honesty, and serving others with integrity. Instead of deceiving people, let us focus on helping them in a genuine and meaningful way.”

But Michael was persistent and tempted by the allure of wealth and power. He decided to carry out his plan without Thomas’s involvement. He gathered the villagers and claimed to possess the magic stone. He promised them unimaginable riches if they bought the stone from him.

The villagers, driven by their own desires and blinded by greed, believed Michael’s words. They started buying the so-called magic stones, investing their hard-earned savings. But as time passed, they realized that the stones were ordinary rocks with no magical powers. They felt cheated and betrayed.

Distraught and angry, the villagers confronted Michael and demanded their money back. But he had vanished, leaving the village behind. The villagers turned to Thomas, seeking his guidance and wisdom once again.

Thomas compassionately listened to their grievances and reminded them of the importance of moral values. He said, “My dear villagers, this incident teaches us a valuable lesson. True wealth and prosperity come from honesty, hard work, and serving others with integrity. Greed and deceit may offer temporary gains, but they will eventually lead to pain and disappointment. Let us rebuild our trust and work together to create a better future based on honesty and compassion.”

The villagers realized their mistake and pledged to uphold moral values in their community. With Thomas’s guidance, they started various initiatives to support each other, to promote honesty and fairness, and to ensure that such incidents would never happen again.

The story of Michael and the magic stones served as a constant reminder to the villagers of the importance of moral values. They lived happily, cherishing the virtues of honesty, hard work, and compassion, and their village became an example of integrity and prosperity for others to follow.

The moral of the story is that shortcuts and dishonesty may offer temporary gains, but they ultimately lead to unhappiness and loss. True success and happiness are found in living a life based on moral values, such as honesty, hard work, and compassion.
