The guilt disappeared like a wind!

    Year : 1995

    place : Chennai

In 1995,the drug mafia in Chennai were in peak, the society is full of drugs..it can easily penetrate through society, because in that time there were lots of loop holes in police department. GAJENDRAN(45)- A big drug smuggler, gangster. CHENNAI is in under his control.

On the other hand the political party which ruling the TAMIL NADU has been abandoned due to low support. There was a riot in all over Tamil Nadu. To control the riots government officials appointed a new team(a group of 100 training officers for per district which can be divided in to 10 teams under one leader) under the leadership of Naren(45)-An experienced police officer and also worked in NCRB(National crime record bureau).

Kamal(24)-A young man who just completed his training has been very curious and excited but also feared because his first mission is that much complicated.

And because of this riot, Gajendran became the richest person as much as possible.Behind this riot there is a hidden participation of Gajendran. A one man totally collapsed the entire Tamil Nadu Government. That much power he had in that time.

In this side, the team under Naren can’t able to control the riot all over the TN. So the INDIAN GOVERNMENT enforced MILITARY RULE in TN for 10 days and 144 prohibition has been enforced. Army men Shooted everyone even old peoples who are all crossing the limits of 144 prohibition. That 10 days the entire TN was silent and it looks like a graveyard.

And after that 10 days riots were gone and the ELECTION COMMISION OF INDIA decided to conduct a election and the election was conducted exactly one month from the end of 144 prohibition and a new leader(who has the support of GAJENDRAN) has been selected.

During that 144 a man(who lives in platform went to buy milk for his child) has been brutally killed by military men Infront of his 10 years old son, AZAR.

Kamal was just behind the man who Shooted Azar’s father,So Azar thought that it was Kamal who killed his Father. Kamal’s face is fixed in Azar’s mind. As they are just people who lives in platforms, Nobody cares about them. Azar’s mother doesn’t have any idea about how she will raise Azar in such place without his Father. She didn’t sleep for nearly a month after that incident.

Time runs, Azar decides to take revenge on the military men who killed his father in that 144 prohibition. He joins in the local gang of Gajendran. He get Surrended for all crimes that upper level rowdies did and with that he also in search of that military man(kamal).

    Year : 2006

    place : Chennai

After nearly 10 years,He came to meet that military men(kamal) in a fish market. That time kamal was onduty(special undercover mission).Azar takes a Knife and follow kamal behind him.He kicks Kamal very forcely from behind. Kamal has no idea about what is going on as he suddenly got a big hit from back side.

Within, kamal able to recognize what is going on,Azar picks him up and beat very hardly, Azar’s eyes were very red.He says “You are the one who ruined my life, I’m searching for you only these many years”. Kamal suddenly takes gun , as he is onduty he carried a gun and pointed it towards Azar and asked him to get knee down.

Azar started to cry and other officers who are all onduty along with Kamal came and surrounded him. Kamal asks “Who are you..?…Why are you searching for me ?”.Azar face was filled with sweat and tears. He replied very harshly “You are the one who killed my father” and explained about the incident that happened in 1995.

Kamal was very shock after hearing this. He realized How a Father’s absence can change a child’s life. Azar thought for a moment and replied “I didn’t killed your father, surely”.

Azar says “I don’t believe you, You are telling lie”…Kamal replied “I didn’t even killed one person at that incident….and I’m going to tell you one thing, I only allowed you father to buy milk from our military camp, but unfortunately another officer shoots your father as i didn’t informed about this to them…”.This incident doesn’t made me to sleep for past 10years.I was felt very guilt about this and sorry is not enough for your loss.

And Kamal added that ” If you want to take revenge of me means then you should study and achieves a good position in society, that’s a best revenge you can do to anyone. Killing someone is not a solution or revenge, Education is important…please study and get a good position in society and you should not do the same thing that they did to you. You should help the people who are like you struggling without father…and One more thing it’s our order to shoot anyone those crossing the limits of 144,even if it’s CM ,we must follow our order, there is no partiality, all are equal to us and that was my fault not to inform to my fellow officers before I’m allowing your father to move”..

and kamal gave some money to Azar. He made some arrangements for Azar’s study.

    And this is how

“The guilt disappeared like a wind!

  • Bicycle

This is a tale of a lady who used to live by her own all alone on the sea shore . She was a fisherwoman by profession who was brilliant at her work. She was about the age of 50 but she had no signs of aging on her, her face had many wrinkles but a glowing skin and she had a very fat body still active. She was a strong independent woman who earned her living by selling fish to the nearby market.

One day, on the way to the market her eyes caught sight of a little girl riding her bicycle. She always wanted to ride a bicycle but she didn’t know how to ride it. Her head was filled with dreams of riding a bicycle merrily on the roads of her village where everyone is gazing at her in astonishment. Whenever she gets a sight of any bicycle this dream would overwhelm her. She used to feel pity over herself that there was no one who could help her learn to ride the bicycle. One fine day she said to herself , I will not let this happen to myself and I will make my wish come true on my own . She took all her savings and brought a bicycle for herself. She wanted to learn to ride the bicycle in a month so that she could go to her village on the day of her birthday proudly riding on her bicycle. She gasped at her new bicycle and with all her courage sat on it and tried to pedal it in an open field. To her surprise she started moving as she dreamt of but crashed badly just after moving only two or three steps forward. She felt hurt and her eyes watered but she didn’t quit. She tried over and over again thrashing on the ground and painful scars emerged on her elbows and knees of constant wounds. She was so determined to learn cycling in a month that even the pain of her wounds couldn’t stop her. After a long exhausting practice she now had conquered her fantasy of riding the bicycle. She was too proud of her and saw herself as her hero. There was immense joy in heart thinking that finally she could pursue the dream she was so much fascinated for. After one more week of practicing so that she doesn’t mess up, the day came.
She woke up early in the morning , bathed , rinsed her bicycle and prayed for blessings of the Lord. She was all set to live her dream. She sat on her bicycle and started paddling. The journey started and her face was brightened as she entered her village. All the people were long gazing at her just to confirm that she was the same person they know. She was flattered with the compliments that she heard about her bicycle and her riding skills. The dream was even more beautiful to live than it was in her head.

Chirag and the Lumina: A Journey into Dreams

Once upon a time, a young boy named Chirag left his home to pursue his studies in a faraway city. Though he was determined to excel in his education, Chirag often felt homesick and longed to be reunited with his family.

As Chirag drifted off to sleep every night, he would have vivid and repetitive dreams. In these dreams, he found himself standing at the edge of a dense forest. He could sense an otherworldly presence emanating from within, calling out to him with a whisper.

Curiosity and a deep yearning for something more led Chirag to embark on a journey to discover the truth behind his dreams. He followed his instincts and ventured deep into the dark heart of the forest, where few dared to tread.

As he pushed through the thick undergrowth, the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves surrounded him. Eventually, Chirag stumbled upon a hidden clearing bathed in soft, ethereal light. There, he found a mystical creature unlike anything he had ever seen before—a radiant, glowing being known as the Lumina.

The Lumina possessed the power to grant wishes, but it had been trapped in the forest for centuries. Its joy at finally being discovered by Chirag was palpable, and it welcomed him with open arms, or rather, open tendrils of light. The Lumina spoke to Chirag through telepathy, and the boy knew he had stumbled upon something extraordinary.

Filled with compassion, Chirag vowed to take care of the Lumina and ensure its happiness. He would bring it sustenance and protection from the elements. In return, the Lumina used its magical abilities to bring joy and fulfillment into Chirag’s life.

News of the Lumina quickly spread throughout the village where Chirag’s family lived. People flocked to witness the extraordinary creature and experience its mystical powers. Chirag, however, guarded the secret fiercely, ensuring that the Lumina’s sanctuary remained undisturbed.

Under Lumina’s influence, Chirag’s life transformed. He excelled in his studies, became a source of inspiration for others, and found joy in simple things. The Lumina taught him to appreciate the beauty of nature, the importance of selflessness, and the power of dreams.

As years went by, Chirag’s bond with the Lumina grew stronger. The creature had become an integral part of his life, guiding him through difficult times and celebrating his triumphs. Together, they brought happiness and light to Chirag and those who had witnessed the Lumina’s magic.

Chirag never forgot his responsibilities and continued to protect the Lumina’s secret. He knew that its power must remain hidden, allowing it to bestow its gifts upon those who truly deserved them. The Lumina, grateful for Chirag’s unwavering devotion, rewarded him with eternal friendship and the fulfillment of his deepest desires.

And so, Chirag’s life blossomed with love, wisdom, and joy. The Lumina became his guiding light, a beacon of hope and wonder. The story of Chirag and the Lumina spread far and wide, inspiring generations to believe in the magic within their hearts and the extraordinary possibilities that lie hidden within the depths of their dreams.

  • Action over words.

Myra was new in town. Her dad had just moved jobs and their whole family had to move with him to the capital. In many ways, she was excited. The capital was busy and exciting, full of so many new opportunities. She was super excited to get to know the city- all the cool buildings and nice hang-out spots. But, as with all new places, adjusting takes time and some things may not always be as they seem.

There was one restaurant that caught her eye. It looked super cool from the outside and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. If that wasn’t enough, the restaurant was full of people, all taking pictures of their food to post on social media. Myra was convinced; she’d give it a try. She ordered the most exciting thing on the menu, but when it arrived, it was bland and tasteless. It was as though all the effort had gone into looking like a nice place to eat, and none into making good food.  Myra shrugged. “Ugh!” Back in her old town, she knew all the best spots to eat. Here she was lost, if only she had some friends to show her around. But that was the thing, she knew no one in this city.

When her first day at the new high school arrived, she was nervous. What if she couldn’t make any new friends? What if the friends she could make weren’t as good as her old ones? Her parents tried to reassure her that she’d be absolutely fine, and that the kids of the capital were just as wonderful and interesting as the one she left behind. It might be a little scary at first, but soon enough, she’d be right at home again. For a moment, she felt comforted. It didn’t last long though. Walking through the halls of her new high school, she was completely overwhelmed. Everyone turned to look at her as she walked past. Everyone here knew each other already. What if she didn’t fit in? She tried to remind herself of what her parents had said, that it would be scary initially, and it would take time. But at this moment, Myra couldn’t remember how she’d managed to make friends last time, and was convinced she’d never be able to do it again. Her lessons were fine enough. Her civics class was all about actions speak louder than words.

“The idea is that you can tell much more about someone based on how they act rather than what they say. For homework, I’d like you to think about this idea. Can you think of any examples? ” teacher spoke. Myra thought about it, but found it confusing. Speaking was all about words. How could actions say more? At lunch, she sat and ate alone. She wished she had some friends to talk to. Maybe they could help her understand what her teacher had been talking about. At the end of the day, just before she stepped out of the building, a girl caught up with her in the hall. “Hey there, I’m Celine. You’re the new kid, right?” Myra was a little startled. No one had spoken to her yet. Celine had great hair and wore very cool clothes. She spoke with a bright and upbeat tone, and her smile was wide and welcoming. “Yeah, hi. I’m Myra. I just started today.” Said Myra, suddenly feeling a little less alone. “Oh, that’s so cool. Welcome to your new high school.” Said Celine, smiling once more. “Say, do you want to be friends?” Myra felt a rush of excitement. Celine clearly, one of the coolest and most popular kids at the high school, wanted to be friends with her. “Yes, absolutely!” blurted Myra, doing her best to sound as cool and upbeat as her new friend. “Awesome! Let’s take a selfie together and seal the deal.” Myra was happy to oblige. She leaned in and gave her best smile. Celine snapped the selfie and posted it straight away. “So you’ll add me as a friend? Yeah?” “For sure! I’ll do it right now,” “Then it’s official. We’re friends!” She grinned at Myra once more before returning to the rest of her friends. It was a strange and brief interaction, but Myra didn’t mind. Somehow, she’d managed to make at least one friend before even leaving the building. Perhaps this wasn’t so difficult after all.

On her walk home, Myra was approached by another of her classmates. This girl looked different. Her clothes were plain, and her hair a little messy. She looked nervous too. “Hey, are you the new girl?” “Yeah, hi, I’m Myra. I just started today” “My name’s Kim, I saw you in math class today. Do you mind if I walk with you for a bit?” Myra didn’t know what to make of Kim. She was a little awkward in the way she spoke, but she seemed nice enough. “Sure!” said Myra, grateful for the company. As they walked home, they talked about their school and the people in it. They talked about the city too, and where Myra had lived before. They even talked about her old friends. By the time they got to Myra’s house, Myra felt comfortable around Kim, and Kim had relaxed a bit too. “I’ll see you tomorrow?” “For sure”

The next day, Myra felt much better in high school. She knew some people now and felt reassured she’d be able to make friends. In between classes, she saw Celine in the hall. Myra waved and Celine shouted “Hello, new friend!” Myra smiled and said hello back. When it came to lunch-time, there was one seat left at Celine’s table so Maya went over to ask if she could join them. It was a perfect opportunity to meet Celine’s other friends, and maybe make a few more of her own. “Oh, sorry – Mia, that seat’s reserved. I’ve another friend coming in a moment. Another time though” Myra was a little hurt. “Oh, okay. No problem. Maybe another time then. Oh, and it’s Myra, not Mia” “OMG- sorry Myra. I’ll get it right next time though, see you soon!” she said with a grin. Once again, Maya sat alone for lunch. But then Kim came over. “Hi Myra, it’s me, Kim. We walked home yester-” Myra cut her off with a giggle. “Don’t worry, Kim. I remember” “Do you mind if I sit with you?” she said. “Not at all!” said Myra. “It’s nice to see you again” Myra and Kim sat chatting all through lunch. They talked about all the best food in the cafeteria, what Myra should avoid, and what tasted best. She was grateful for the tips and felt more at home here with Kim.

At home that night, Myra was eating dinner with her parents. They asked if she’d made any new friends. She told them about the two girls she’d met. She told them about Celine and how she claimed to be her friend but forgot her name and didn’t seem interested in her. And she told them about Kim who’d never said anything about being friends but seemed genuinely interested in Myra. “Actions speak louder than words, Myra” said her Mom, after hearing these stories. “Celine may claim to be your friend, but does she act like it” “She sounds quite superficial- like a restaurant that looks great but the food is bland and tasteless”, said her Dad. “And Kim maybe too nervous or quiet to call you her friend but look at how she acts. She is interested and thoughtful and seems to truly want to be your friend”, her Mom went on.

That night Myra thought carefully about what her parents had said. Maybe actions do speak louder than words. She thought she’d put it to the test.

The next day at high school, Myra approached Celine “Hey Celine! I’m wondering if you know any great places to eat in the city?” she asked. “Hey friend!” said Celine, “I know loads! Why?” “Are you busy this weekend? Would you mind taking me to one?” “Oh, I’m sorry, Mia. I’m actually super busy this weekend, But I’ll send you a picture of one, yeah?” “Oh, no problem,” said Myra. “Yeah, I’d like your recommendation either way!” Celine got out her phone and sent over a picture of the restaurant Myra ate at first when she got here, the one that looked great from the outside but where the food was actually terrible. “Makes sense” thought Myra.  She then approached Kim and asked her the same question. “Hey Kim, do you know any good restaurants in the city?” Kim’s eyes lit up. “I know the best pizza place. It’s this old part of town, and no one knows about it. It’s a bit shabby on the outside, and the staff aren’t particularly polite but, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, as they say The food is fantastic. Are you busy on Saturday? I’ll take you.” Myra grinned.

“Actions really do speak louder than words”, Myra thought. Celine wasn’t really her friend. She probably just wanted more followers on social media. But Kim was interested in her as a person, she was excited to get to know her and show her around the city. She didn’t even need to say they were friends. Myra knew from the way she behaved. She finally had something to talk about for her civics homework!

That Saturday. Myra met up with Kim in the city. They walked around all day, they even saw Celine eating at that terrible restaurant. Kim showed Myra  all her favourite buildings and the best places to hang out. And then they went to Kim’s favourite pizza place. Sure enough, it wasn’t much to look at but it was the best pizza Myra had ever tasted. Maybe she’d be happy in this new city after all.

  • KARMA…

A place far away from the pollution, irritating and chaotic hustle bustle of life. Paradise of beauty, purity and peace lies right here; pure, pristine nature reigns supreme. Green undulating pastures and meadows of greens and crops; woods, arbors, orchards, vineyards stretch for miles all around.

Dawn of the day, and here we see the first glimpse of Rizwan, Kapil, Sushma, Monty, Tinku & Minku, Zoya, Sarpanch, Mukhiya and many other residents of the Pratapgarh village, assembling near the oldest well of the town to look upon the matter that has created a hindrance in the peace of the first sunlight.

A mentor and his disciple sitting on the muddy ground, discussing the brutalities, realities and unheard truths of life. Disciple asking about the shortcuts and a straight way of heading towards the path of success.

Mentor laughs and says;” you really think there’s a shortcut to success….hahahhahaa, funny though”.

Aarya interferes the communication and ask the mentor ,”what’s so funny in his question?” “There would be any path or any shortcut that many of us don’t know and are willing to know” she adds.

Mentor takes a sigh of relief and with a little pause answers,” nothing can be won through a shortcut.”

He further explains by saying ” a little, hungry kid returning from school sees an apple tree on the way to his house, which is quite distant from the school. He moves towards the tree and wishes to eat those big red apples. He stretches his short arm, jumps to pluck it and after several tries wins in getting the apples. But to his distress, the gardener saw him doing this, runs towards him and beats him with his stick. Tears keep rolling out from the kid’s eyes”. Disciple and the rest of the people who were carefully listening yawns and ask what did he mean from all this.

The mentor explains that the kid’s eyes saw the apples, greed or hunger made him to move towards it, his arms pulled the apples and his mouth ate them with joy and yumminess. Later, he gets beaten by stick on his back which had no role in the whole process, tears roll out from his eyes (which eventually were the reason of his deed).

This is the ‘Cycle Of Life’. Nothing comes with a shortcut, one has to move his whole body to achieve success or what he wants and this comes with a lot of hurdles, realities, problems and hard work.  Everything comes with a cost of pain and rigorous efforts.

‘As we sow, so shall we reap’.

“And cut….”, says the director, who was shooting the final part of his film ‘KARMA’.

    “Pack up”.

  • Journey Of Discovery

A young girl named Swara used to reside in an ancient village tucked away in the rolling hills. She had a mind full of fantasy and a heart full of wonder. Swara was well-known across the hamlet for her fervent curiosity and love of exploration.

Swara came across an outdated and damaged map laying on the ground as she was strolling around the village square one morning. Swara snatched it up and carefully inspected it, fascinated by its enigmatic markings and the promise of unexplored worlds. The map showed a far-off island with the name Parel that was told was full of magic and wonder and had been kept secret from the outside world for many years.

Swara took a risky action because she couldn’t resist the pull of the unknown. Despite the villagers’ doubts and cautions, she made up her mind to go off on a quest to discover Parel. She went out on her epic journey with her map, a satchel packed with supplies, and an unshakeable spirit.

Swara’s journey took her through thick forests, dangerous mountain passes, and over wide oceans. She encountered both allies and enemies along the journey, learning important lessons about faith, bravery, and the strength of will. She came across learned old sages who imparted their timeless knowledge, comical creatures that brought some whimsy to her travels, and compassionate strangers who provided her with shelter and direction.

The enchantment got heavier in the air as Swara approached Parel. The once-familiar landscapes changed into enchanting regions with free-roaming talking animals and whispering trees. Swara moved ahead, guided by her steadfast intuition, her heart brimming with a mixture of exhilaration and apprehension.

Swara finally reached the shores of Parel after facing a great deal of hardship. The island was a gorgeous paradise filled with fantastical creatures and vivid colours. She discovered old ruins while exploring the island’s secluded areas, and she also cracked codes that revealed the island’s mysteries.

The lessons Parel gave Swara, not its outward beauty, were what made it truly magical. She came to realise that the voyage itself was the greatest adventure, not getting to the destination. Swara had developed wisdom, bravery, and compassion along the way. She had discovered that the world provided limitless opportunities for those who had an open mind and heart.

Swara left Parel knowing the island would always retain a special place in her heart and with new-found understanding and a heart full of appreciation. She returned to the community with tales of her exploits and the understanding that true magic resided not only in far-off regions but also within each individual’s spirit.

The village received Swara’s homecoming with wonder and admiration. The sceptic villagers had seen her change, and they were astounded by her stories of Parel. They were moved by her bravery and started pursuing it as well. They started to follow their own goals and venture into the unknown after being inspired by her bravery.

The formerly sleepy community therefore flourished with newly discovered curiosity as its residents embraced the spirit of exploration Swara had sparked. In the end, it was a society as a whole that discovered the magic within themselves and set out on their own extraordinary journeys rather than just Swara who found Parel.

  • SERAPHINA – The Fairy Queen

    SERAPHINA – The Fairy Queen

There once existed a magical kingdom known as The Enchanted Grove in a far-off land. The land had been blessed with magnificent creatures, sparkling rivers, and lush greenery. A magnificent palace entirely made of flowers and leaves stood at the center of Enchanted Grove, nestled among the ancient trees. Seraphina, the Fairy Queen, was in charge of this magnificent kingdom.

She was a kind and just ruler who loved all her subjects and would go to any lengths to protect them. She believed in being equal and fair to all, resulting in there being no quarrels or wars in her land. All of Seraphina’s subjects admired her as a graceful and wise queen. She was the embodiment of eternal beauty and in all the fairy realm there was no one more beautiful than her with her gossamer wings, emerald-colored eyes, and shimmering silver hair. But her beauty was more than just superficial; She truly stood out thanks to her caring nature and kind heart.

One day while strolling through her kingdom Seraphina noticed a small group of troubled fairies gathered near a clear pond. She approached them with curiosity and inquired about their dejected state.

With a sad voice, one of the fairies came forward and said, “The ancient tree of wishes has lost its magical glow, Your Majesty. It is our native and most revered tree where we would make wishes that would come true. However, it is now lying dull, lifeless, and barren.”

The news made Seraphina’s heart sink. She knew what kind of power the tree held. Her land was blooming not only because of her rule but also due to the powers of that tree. Now the land was being shadowed by the fading magic of the ancient tree of wishes, which held great significance for the kingdom. The troubled fairies requested their queen to save them from this terrible onslaught. It was then that Seraphina decided to set out on a quest to find out what was causing the tree’s plight and to be determined to restore the tree’s enchantment.

She ventured deep into the mystical woods surrounding The Enchanted Grove with her trustworthy companions, a mischievous deer named Pipi and a wise old badger named Orane. They braved thickets, crossed gurgling brooks, and scaled imposing peaks. They finally made it to a secluded clearing, where a mesmerizing creature was waiting for them.

Evangeline, a delicate spirit, was famous for her ability to connect with the natural world. Her eyes glowed with ancient wisdom as she greeted Seraphina and her companions.

“O great Seraphina, I have been anticipating you,” Evangeline said delicately. ” Your kingdom, the land, and your subjects are suffering, since the Tree of Wishes has lost its magical properties. Harmony has been shattered and the natural balance has been upset. We need you now before we all see the darkness of the days to come. “

The revelation weighed heavily on the Fairy Queen’s heart, so she listened intently. Evangeline explained that the land had been cursed by a dark sorceress, draining it of all its life forces. Seraphina would have to go on a dangerous journey to find the four elemental crystals scattered throughout Enchanted Grove in order to restore the magic.

Evangeline explained how the evil sorceress had broke the crystal into bits to reduce the magic of the tree and eventually take into control Seraphina’s kingdom and the entire forest. In order to stop her, the 4 pieces of the crystal had to be brought together to ignite such a power that would reduce any evilness to ashes.

Listening to all this, Seraphina promised to bring order to her beloved kingdom with unwavering determination. After saying her goodbyes to Evangeline, Pipi, Orane, and Seraphina set out on their quest.

Seraphina faced perilous obstacles as she traveled through vast meadows, dense forests, and winding caves. She encountered dragons that breathed fire, cunning trolls, and even a naughty water nymph. She overcame every obstacle, thanks to her pure heart, unwavering courage, and the magic of Evangeline and her subjects.

After overcoming countless obstacles and being on the verge of giving up she was finally able to collect all four elemental crystals after much perseverance. She then rushed back to the ancient tree of wishes with them in her hands. It was the time of results. Seraphina brought the 4 pieces together . A magnificent and mighty flash of light erupted as the crystals touched the bare branches, illuminating the entire grove.

As their land once again bloomed and their wishes were fulfilled once more, the fairies of Enchanted Grove were ecstatic. The land did well, abundant with cheerful melodies, happy hearts, and excited people. In addition to restoring the tree’s magic, Seraphina’s efforts rekindled hope and love in her subjects’ hearts. They vowed to obey her till time immemorial.

  • Power of Love and Dreams

“As I reached the upper steps of the staircase, I was petrified beyond imagination. As I took a few more steps towards the door, I said meekly, “Ilma? Are you alright, pari?” before opening the door with a creaking sound. And then, I saw her sitting on the bed, facing the window. A faint ray of sunlight was falling on her and it filled the whole room with a touch of calmness even though my mind was rushing with thoughts. Thoughts that mingled with each other, making me feel like a very powerful yet a very powerless person. I was still scared, scared of facing her, scared of looking into her eyes that are an expression of her thoughts. I suddenly felt very weak, difficult to even take a step further.

After standing in the same position, trying to get back the strength, the unexpected happened. She turned her face. The face that once had the glow of the sun with the blossom of a cherry, eyes that told a new story of happiness and joy every day, had turned dull like an autumn tree. A tree that tries to look self-fulfilling even when it is incomplete. She called me saying, ” I was waiting for you, I knew you would come”. This made my heart sink. What if I had not listened to my wife and visited her. Maybe I would have shattered her last expectations too. Maybe I would have given another chance for the world to call me a selfish brother, a brother who couldn’t stand by her younger sister when she was going through the most painful days of her life. Maybe it would have been difficult to live with the heavy weight of that guilt.

But I was happy that she still had expectations from me, even when I had been the worst brother, a brother who left her just because she followed her heart. Even when she had the courage to leave the house at such a young age, just to follow her dreams, to stand up to her expectations, I had failed her. The brother she loved and trusted more than anyone had left her alone.

These thoughts kept me occupied as I moved towards her, taking each step carefully and nervously and sat down beside her. She tightly hugged me and all of a sudden, all my thoughts vanished in the air. Suddenly, the heart felt lighter and the mind felt very calm. It was like someone had thrown a huge bucket of cold water, washing away my guilt, sadness, and anxiety, all at once.

It made me realize how she must have felt when she had sold her first painting, when she had organized her first exhibition, when she had opened her art gallery, when she had received all her awards. Like the guilt of leaving all she had and following her dreams, had finally been lifted. Finally, she was able to prove that her struggles were worth it all.

But I knew that now she needed me, even when she had everything, she needed someone to take care, to make her the perfect cup of coffee like I used to, to get her favorite ice cream like the olden days, to give her all the love and care she had been away from since so many years and help her get back her health. It was a happy moment and a tear of happiness just trickled down my eyes and I immediately knew, there is nothing greater than the power of love and the courage of following your dreams. Everyone has the power to dream but only a few have the courage to get up and work to make those dreams come true.

  •  Life is hard but short

It is not the child’s fault that he can not complete the task properly. At least he tried. But for this world, we have been taught from the beginning to win the race. Even if it is to win parents’ goals or to win the race of birth. Before coming to life, we don’t even know what awaits us. it feels like yesterday I was in nursery and now I am a teenager. the time period of a human is so confusing that when we were newborn babies everybody loved us, when we become a toddler or children we love everyone. But then came the time face where we see the changes in people. they never really loved us. It was a mare affection toward a newborn baby similar to a new object which we find delighted to have for a couple of days and forget instantly.

I used to be good at everything then. Beginning with studies, sports, and cultural activities to art and crafts. I loved when people appreciated me for my achievements. But as time flew people started showing faults in me. Which occurred to demotivate me and faced a rapid drop in myself.

    “You can do it better.”

“You could have started it before. So, that the task must be finished by now then.”

    “You failed”

“You can never win this race.”

“Someone else is better than you.”

    “You’re not worth it.”

    “You don’t deserve it”

Was that all necessary to say to a teenager who is trying to understand his life? Thinking about how to do better. Even after trying harder and harder, when the results are never reaching the point.  It only needs four words to motivate someone. “YOU CAN DO IT.” Thats it. He could have won the race.

It’s okay. Life is hard but short. We need to figure out the solution by ourselves. No one is perfect. But they are perfect in their own way.

  • Twist of Fate

    Twist of Fate

Mark was born into a middle-class family. He lived with his older sister, Sasha, and his parents. He was very good in academics from childhood. Sasha was not as good as Mark at studying. This made Mark overconfident. He started to think that nobody is better than him at studying. Every time Mark earned good grades, their parents let her down.

This all changed one day when Sasha started studying seriously. She worked very hard and showed Mark and her parents that she is also very good at studies. This left Mark with nothing but underconfidence and doubt in himself. From this point onward, Mark struggled with self-confidence and his academic grades went on lowering.

The sides were reversed. Mark thought he is not as good as Sasha and can never leave her behind in their studies. Henry, their older cousin once visited them and he showed them their certificate of how good he has been in academics. Now, Mark wanted to leave behind Sasha as well as Henry in studies and Sasha only wanted to do the same but with Henry only.

Now, Mark, Sasha, and Henry were studying very hard to top in their studies and reach the top. Soon came the exams and the results came out. Henry topped his exam and Sasha topped her exams, but Mark could not top his exam. This result made Mark feel much worse than he was feeling earlier.

Henry and Sasha were older than Mark, so they finished college earlier. Mark was still in school when Henry and Sasha graduated. Mark felt that no matter what he did, he would never reach the top. Mark then realized that he has one thing on his side that Sasha and Henry do not, and that was time. Mark studied properly what Henry and Sasha did in college, but more importantly, he studied what they did not.

This gave Mark an edge over them, as he got to do what they did at their age but, more importantly, what he would not have to do at that age. When Mark graduated, he scored more than Henry and Sasha but was still not satisfied as he did not reach the top. On the other hand, Henry continued going for the top and Sasha also went for the top.

But the crown at the top was always changing hands as nobody always sits on the throne. What we should learn from this rat race is that comparison will always let you down. Even if you are successful, you will never be happy as long as you are comparing yourself to anyone.

In this tug of war among Mark, Sasha, and Henry, they all are elevating themselves up by comparing themselves to each other but the real question is are they happy? The answer is no! They will never be happy until they are satisfied with their achievements.
