Once there lived a pair of crows on a big banyan tree. They made a beautiful nest and made it their home. But they have a problem because a black cobra lived in the hollow of the tree and he eat their newborn babies whenever the female crow hatched her eggs. They were very disappointed and want to get rid from the black cobra. So they decided to get help from a jackal who lived nearby on another banyan tree.

They went to the jackal and narrated the whole story and requested him to help them to get rid from the cobra. They said, "O Friend, It became dangerous to live here. Please help us how we can protect our children from being eaten up by the wicked black cobra." The jackal replied them please don’t give up. Have faith in ourselves and everything will be fine. The jackal told them a plan, "Fly into the capital of the kingdom which not far from here. Visit the house of someone who is wealthy but careless. Notice everything if you find any valuable thing pick it up but ensure that the servants are watching you.” You should make sure that servants were followed you. Then return back to your home and drop the valuable near the hollow of the tree of the cobra. When the servants reached following you they kill the cobra after seeing it. And you get rid from the cobra.

The crows decided to follow the jackal plan and flew off toward the kingdom. After sometime the female crow noticed some women swimming in the lake. They left valuable ornaments near the lake and the royal servants were guarded them. So she decided to pick up the valuable ornaments. Female crow came down and picked a big necklace in her beak and start flying slowly so that the servants noticed her. The servants noticed her and start following the female crow and throw stones at her.As female crow reached the banyan tree where the king cobra lived she dropped the necklace. She sat on the tree so that the servants noticed her.

As the servants reached the tree the king cobra came out from the hollow of tree after listening the noise made by the servants. As the cobra saw the servants he tried to attack them but the servants attacked him with sticks and stones and recover the necklace. They killed the black cobra and returned with the necklace. And then the crows lived happily and they gotten rid from the cobra.
