  • Love At FUR-st Sight

Pets have been a beloved addition to households for centuries. From cats and dogs to fish and birds, pets come in all shapes and sizes, and they bring a lot of joy and companionship to their owners. In this blog post, we’ll explore some of the benefits of owning a pet and some tips for taking care of your furry or feathered friend.

    Benefits of owning a pet:

Companionship: Pets can be great companions, especially for people who live alone. They provide unconditional love and affection and can help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Improved mental health: Studies have shown that owning a pet can have a positive effect on mental health. Pets can reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, and even help alleviate symptoms of depression.

Increased physical activity: Dogs, in particular, require daily exercise, which can motivate their owners to be more active as well. This can lead to improved physical health, including a healthier heart and lower risk of obesity.

Teaching responsibility: Owning a pet requires responsibility and dedication. Children who grow up with pets can learn important life skills such as feeding, grooming, and caring for another living being.

Tips for taking care of your pet:

Regular vet visits: Just like humans, pets need regular check-ups to stay healthy. Make sure to schedule annual visits with your veterinarian to ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations and to catch any potential health issues early on.

Proper nutrition: Feeding your pet a well-balanced diet is essential for their overall health and well-being. Consult with your veterinarian to determine the best diet for your pet’s age, breed, and health status.

Regular exercise: As mentioned earlier, dogs require daily exercise. But even cats and other pets benefit from playtime and physical activity. Find ways to incorporate exercise into your pet’s daily routine, such as taking your dog for a walk or playing with your cat using interactive toys.

Grooming: Regular grooming, including brushing, bathing, and nail trimming, is important for maintaining your pet’s hygiene and overall health. Some pets may require more frequent grooming than others, so be sure to consult with your veterinarian or a professional groomer for advice.

In conclusion, owning a pet can bring many benefits to your life, including companionship, improved mental and physical health, and the opportunity to learn responsibility. However, it’s important to remember that owning a pet requires commitment and dedication. By providing proper care and attention to your furry friend, you can enjoy a happy and healthy life together.

    𝙈𝙔 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀 𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙔

Love, I knew what love is, but I did not know the true meaning of love. Once upon a time I talked to a girl online. We didn’t know each other but still used to talk, while talking everyday everyone came to know about each other. But I don’t know when I got used to him while talking, I used to wait for hours for his message and as soon as his message came, a lovely smile used to come on my face.

I didn’t know why this was happening but I felt good talking to him, I had not fallen in love with him, yes love and that too true love. But I was not able to say this to him, I had a strange fear in my mind that he might not stop talking to me. So I let everything go on as it was. One day his message came, I don’t know what was there that day but there was something strange in my mind, now I didn’t know whether it was good or bad. I replied to her message, she was very scared, she said I want to tell you something, I was scared.

He said that I have not fallen in love with you, I could not digest this but it was true. I immediately expressed my love to him. That day was the best day for me. Of course, our relationship was long distance but I loved him very much. We used to talk sweetly everyday. Everything used to go well, only one thing of hers bothered me, she used to reply to messages after a long time. But I didn’t say anything about this.

But this thing was becoming too much for him. I used to message her, she used to reply after 2-4 days. I used to feel bad that she used to give more priority to studies, but as if she was forgetting me.

But my love for him never decreased. He stopped talking to me, his message used to come after 2-2 months but I don’t know because my anger used to turn into love when his message came. I talked to him about this and we also had a fight. I told him that I love you very much, I will wait for you forever. I said, you have to pay attention to your career, neither do you come with me.

But as if he had forgotten the dead, he had stopped talking. As if it was never there in his life. It’s been 1 year since we talked, I am still waiting for his message. He had taught me how to love, but he also taught me why not to love.

  • Love Letter

    Dear Meera,

When I was fifteen, the boys in my area would hang out around a nearby tea shop. Some would sit there the whole day, drinking gallons and gallons of tea. Being shy and a recluse, I was desperate to make friends, to know people, and to be part of something. So I went there one day and hung around for nearly an hour. Summoning the courage to utter words, drinking a few cups in the process. When I was preparing to leave, after failing miserably in my attempt to socialize, I suddenly sensed excitement among others. All the boys were looking in the same direction, towards the roof of an apartment building. After a few confusing seconds, I realized that all the boys used to gather there not to socialize but to get a glimpse of girls who used to come up to the roof in the evening.

I know I am an idiot as you often tell me. Fifteen years old and not knowing about teenage romantic desperation. That’s how I used to be back then. But all that changed that day, because that what the day I saw you for the first time. After all the girls left and naturally all the boys too. I was still there, drowning in my loneliness. Until I saw you on the same rooftop. You were wearing blue that day. The color of your dress mixed perfectly with the blueness of the sky. You looked divine, someone sent from above. Blue became my favorite color from that day. I appreciated everything that had blue in it because it reminded me of you. Though that changed next week when I saw you in a yellow dress. That day you made me love sunflowers and marigolds and sunlight. Since then my favorite color is whatever I see you in.

Of 22 years of my existence, the seven years since I saw you have been the most fortunate. But my favorite is the day when we became friends. The day when I fell from my bike right in front of you. And when you lend your hands to pick me up. To be honest, I was trying to impress you by riding as fast as I could. Knowing you now, that would have never worked. Thanks to that stone that tripped me. And thanks to whoever left it in the middle of the road. I am sorry that your handkerchief was stained with my blood. When you asked me if I was hurt while wiping the blood off my lips, I wanted to tell you that I was in ecstasy. A broken jaw had never felt so good.

You became the first person who tried to know me, who saw something of value inside me, something that even my parents couldn’t. Or maybe you didn’t care if I was of any value. You made me a friend and accepted me as I was — lame, recluse, and idiotic.

You were what my parents would consider — a bad influence. You made me bunk school for the first time to watch a movie. You made me ride a Ferris wheel and bathe in ice-cold water. I couldn’t understand your enthusiasm for movies and music and rain and clouds and dogs, even insects and busy traffic…at first. But I realized that you are the kind of person that does not like to dislike.

The heavens blessed me when I got to share the same college with you. Those three years that should have been a prolonged nightmare for someone like me became a dream. All because of your presence in the same building. The best part of those college days was the ten minutes that I got to spend with you during our walk from the lecture hall to the chemistry lab. I hated that chemistry lab for separating us.

I could not understand why you encouraged me towards poetry. I was horrible at communication. I am sorry I fought with you for that poetry competition. But you enrolled me knowing that I could not speak on stage in front of an audience. My stupid brain thought that you wanted to make fun of me with your new friends. I was so wrong. You wanted nothing but happiness for me.

That evening of poetry competition was magical. I thought I would die on stage. I almost had, if you weren’t there on the fifth row cheering amid all the “boos…you suck…and get off the stage”. I won that night but you celebrated as if you did. Perhaps, it was indeed your victory. You created an artist.

I wanted to confess my love sooner. I tried many times, but my words betrayed me. Ironic, isn’t it? A poet can’t find words to express his love. The closest I came to confessing was the night when you told me about your to-do “bucket list”. It made me happy that you had so many new desires and so many ambitions. Your face was lit up like a morning sky. Before you told me, I had already guessed that you got a job. You were so happy, but trust me I was happier. I wanted you to be free from the tyranny of your family ever since the first time I saw you get hit by your uncle. I am sorry I never told you. But I know. I have known about your family situation for the last six years. I know that you conceal your tears. I know that you were raised by your uncle and aunt after the death of your father and your mother was helpless in front of them. Though I couldn’t tell you what I wanted to do that night, I slept in tranquility because I heard what I wanted to, do for five long years.

I want you to know that this is one of the many versions of a love letter I have written over the years. I wish I wouldn’t have to read it over the bank of Ganges where your ashes were immersed. I am sorry I did not attend your cremation. It was too hard to see you burn. I wish I could have told you earlier, maybe that would have stopped you from taking that bus. I don’t care if you rejected me. I just want you in this world, breathing the same air. I want your heart to beat more than anything in this world right now.

Anyway, don’t worry too much about me, I am going to be busy. I have a new dream, to do everything you wanted to do. I have already enrolled in belly dance classes. It is so uncomfortable, I had no idea the human body could move that way. Girls make fun of me during the entire duration of our class. But I still finish it because I know you are looking at me from above, laughing and giggling. See, even after leaving this world you are making me do outlandish things just like when we were teenagers.

I am going to live my life, just like you wanted to live yours. To the fullest. I promise.

It is written in the Vedas that fire is the messenger between the people and God. I am going to burn this letter. I hope the God of Fire would deliver it to you.

    I love you, Meera.

Your Friend. In this life and beyond.

  • Dare to Dream

    Dare to Dream

Life is a journey. In this journey, we tend to meet people from different backgrounds. Some relationships have a big impact on our lives while some are just there to complete their part in your journey of life.

This is a story of a girl named Priya who belonged to a typical middle-class family. Priya was a strong-minded girl with big dreams in her eyes. After completing her post-graduation, she landed a job in the banking domain. Everyone associated with her was proud of her accomplishments. Her parents were quick to fix her up with a well-settled boy of their choice.

Little did Priya know that her life would change upside down after marriage. She was unable to balance her work, kids, and household chores. Hence, she left her white-collar job to care for her family. She loved her family but she always felt something was missing in her life.

Society had started judging her by now.The same relatives who once praised her now started jugging her. She started avoiding social gatherings. But her better half and her kids always encouraged her and assured her that life would have some plans for her and kept motivating her.

After the pandemic, the work-from-home culture made its way into the world. Priya knew that this was the perfect opportunity she had been pausing for quite some time. Fortunately, her kids were also independent to some extent and she could take out some time for herself from her busy schedule.

Priya had always been an avid reader and would sit for hours with a book in her hand. During her motherhood journey, she developed a flair for writing. She would often jot down her experiences in the form of blogs for her fellow readers. Now, was the time to convert this hobby into a profession. She started applying for internships with companies that needed content writers to manage their businesses and very soon landed an internship of her choice.

After completing a few internships, she was confident in her skills and started working on a part-time basis with a company managing her career and family life. Though the compensation is not enough the job boosted her confidence and enhanced her writing skills.

Though there was a long way still to go Priya had already inspired many women during her journey of restarting her career.

Moral of the story – Never give up on your dreams. Just wait for the perfect opportunity to showcase your talent and victory will be yours.

  • The Strange Love

    The Strange Love

There is a girl named Shina who stays in Mumbai and whose summer vacation starts. This summer vacation, she plans to do something new and exciting. So, she starts searching for internships to do. She applies for an internship and one day, she gets a message from the manager named Rahul of the company for further procedure.

They both talk on a call about the recruitment process. While talking, they go beyond formal talks and start to talk about personal life. They talk often on calls. On talking, Shina comes to know that Rahul lives in America since the age of seven. He comes there with his family but his parents leave soon as they miss their friends and family in India. They leave Adiya with his mother’s sister.

Rahul, despite being busy with his work, manages to get some time to message Shina and talk to her. Shina doesn’t realize that he is getting attached to her and thinks that it’s just a way of working in a more interactive environment. One day, on a call he tells her that he misses her so much and wants to talk to her openly. Hearing this, Shina asks if he is having a girlfriend because all the time she thinks that he has one. He tells her that he is single and he has never been in a relationship before because he stays in America without his parents due to which he has to focus on his work to be a self-dependent guy. He works so hard that he owns a house and three cars just because till today he has worked hard. He also adds that now he has time to spend on a girl, that’s why, he talks to her and feels so attached to her. Shina gets skeptical of him how can a guy come across many people in his life not committed to anybody? However, he tells her that it’s gonna affect him a lot of she stops talking to him. Shina tells him that she can leave him anytime when she feels that she is doing something wrong because she has done this before also with other guys. Hearing this, Rahul feels so bad and says her how can be she so cruel as to leave him midway after talking so openly with him. She says that she can’t help it and stops talking to him.

Now, Rahul being hurt manages to stay somehow alone again and doesn’t text her. Now, Shina realizes her mistake, feels bad, and misses him a lot. She dreams about him and the next day, she decides to text him. On texting, Rahul tells her that he also misses her a lot and thinks about her all the time. They start to talk again and fall in love with each other.

Now, Shina hasn’t seen Rahul’s face but Rahul has seen hers. One day, Shina thinks that she is in love with the man behind the voice as she hasn’t seen how Rahul looks yet. So, she texts him to come on the camera and show his face. Rahul delays it by saying that he is lying on the bed with lights off and can’t show his face at the moment and promises her to show it in the evening. The evening time comes when they both video call and when Rahul switches on the camera, Shina finds a guy who looks so mature and slightly older, near 30. Rahul switches his camera off in just a few seconds and says that because of people’s negative reactions, he never shows them how he looks and has an inferiority complex. On this, Shina says him to be confident in himself as no one is born the way they look according to their choices, and ultimately what matters is the nature of the person and not his looks. Hearing this, Rahul asks her if she is gonna talk to him or not after seeing his face. Shina assures him that she is always there and loves him a lot.

  • Self Love is the ‘KEY’

    Self Love is the ‘KEY’

Once upon a time, in a really well developed city named Hyrule, where reside many wealthy people, a rich man with the name of Link was living his life happily with his great prosperity and wealth. The only thing that worried him was within him, his increasing weight. While the biggest locker available in the city of Hyrule were filled by his wealth, he was incapable of doing the simplest things for a human being. Carrying weights, climbing stairs, etc. were an impossible task for him.

Exhausted by questions of him on his own capabilities, he decided to get an appointment of the greatest doctor in his city, Doc. Rusk. Rusk was asked to treat the rich man with his problem with a trade of immense wealth.  Despite many diets, tiring workouts and medicines prescribed by Rusk, there was no affect on the “so-immortal” fat of Mr. Link. He felt helpless and defeated.  Even though his family gave him enough support, it all went in vain when the greatest doctor was also accepting his defeat.

Link observed how these month of immense worry-ness went. Finding the source of this issue, he managed to take his mind back to the past when a random stranger said that he was fat, a few months before. Even though he was living his life at its best, not worrying about his obesity as he was not feelings it’s presence at all, he became conscious about his health and his mind only forced him to think about the negative aspects of himself. Ignoring the fact that he was hardworking enough than most of the people, which made him so rich, thinking about his obesity just diverted his mind. He realized that focusing on the comments made by the world should not affect one’s mental health. Loving oneself as the way they are is the most important aspect of maintaining happiness. Even though, Mr. Link is fat but he is hardworking, kind and has a loving family. He is happy in his own aura.

Thus , making a last appointment with Doc. Rusk, he explained everything how he felt. Even though nothing changed with his waste attempts, he realized the true essence of self-acceptance and staying happy rather than being worried about material possessions or achieving perfection in physique. Thus, the tale of Link, the man who was not struggling with obesity but with the feeling of instability, became an inspiring story of self-discovery and self-love. It proved as a reminder that  happiness is not dependent on external factors but is in the depths of the human spirit.

  • ‘Death due to Relationship’

  • ” Price of time “

The owner where Shonti was working for a few days asked him to cut a tree and bring it. Shonti picked up his best ax and went to try his hand at the tree.

He waved his hand for hours but the tree did not get cut. Shonti was drenched in sweat. Perhaps the way of cutting was not right, the ax was falling straight or maybe the edge itself was deceiving.

He did not get success for a long time, then one of his loyal friends “Monti” passing by suggested that – “Why don’t you sharpen the edge by rubbing it on a stone?”

After listening to his advice, Shonti said – “I cannot waste time. I have to cut this tree by tomorrow.”

Now some people are also like our Shonti. Those who just go on working, go on doing it. They don’t do anything to improve it. Repeating the same mistake again and again. While this should not be done.

We should keep bringing new improvements in our work, so that it takes less time to do our work, but the work can be done faster and better than last time.

Even in the “world’s oldest language” Sanskrit, a verse is found on time that ~

    इदमद्य करिष्यामि श्वः कर्तास्मि इति वादिनम् ।

    कालो हरति संप्राप्तो नदीवेग इव द्रुमम् ॥

Idamadya karishyami shvah kartasmi iti vadinam.

Kalo Harti Samprato Nadiveg Iv Drumam.

As the current of the river carries away the tree, in the same way, the time that has arrived, takes away the one who says, “Today I will do this, tomorrow I will do that”.

We learned from this story that “our time is very precious”. We do not have to waste it unnecessarily, and do something for our society and country.

    Reader, Have a nice day…🙂

Dancing Dreams: Lily’s Journey of Rediscovery

A young girl named Lily once lived in the peaceful town of Meadowville. Lily, who was just twelve years old, was an excellent student who always got high ratings in her classes. She did, however, secretly have a passion for dance.

Lily loved the sensation of losing herself in the tunes and letting her body flow with the beat. But she was unable to pursue her actual love due to her demanding school schedule and her parents’ high expectations. She reluctantly put her aspirations on hold and concentrated completely on her academics.

Years went by, and Lily’s dedication paid off. She received a scholarship to an exclusive university after graduating as her class’s leader. She got lost in her academic work and pursued a profession in medicine because she wanted to honor her family. However, as time passed, Lily started to feel empty in her life.

One fateful evening, Lily was scrolling through social media when she came upon a video of an amazing dancing performance. A feeling of longing rushed over Lily as she observed the dancer’s exquisite movements and genuine delight. She experienced flashbacks of her early passion, reigniting a long-dormant flame.

Lily had just made a choice that would change her entire life. She committed to rediscovering her love of dance and pursuing the path that was meant for her. She signed up for a local dancing academy, totally embracing her rediscovered passion, despite her hard profession as a doctor. It was not an easy road. Lily struggled to balance her commitment to the dance form with a hard job schedule.

Lily didn’t let that stop her. She spent countless hours enhancing her craft and regaining her old grace in the studio. Lily regained tremendous joy and fulfillment when she devoted herself to dancing. She found shelter in dance, using it to communicate her most intense feelings and re-establish her genuine self.

Lily’s passion and talent eventually came to light. With her grace and alluring charm, she adorned the stages of regional recitals and competitions. She was propelled into a career as a dancer by renowned dance groups who noticed her unquestionable skill.

Following Lily’s heart led to both her fulfillment and the inspiration of those around her. Her tale went viral, inspiring people of all ages and walks of life to follow their ambitions. Lily came to represent optimism, showing everyone that it is never too late to follow your aspirations and experience true happiness.

As a result, the once-motivated and diligent little girl grew into a beautiful woman who enchanted the world with her dance. Following her passion was not a diversion from her academics, but rather a path to a more fulfilling life, as Lily’s incredible journey taught her. She developed into a living example of the effectiveness of tenacity and the enchantment that arises when one decides to dance to their heart’s rhythm.
