He had hopes so great and dreams so big. Never thought that something of this sort could happen with him. By his looks, he appeared to be a gentleman. He was a man of decent character and charismatic personality. But as the saying goes, if you are a good person, chances are that you might also suffer a lot more than other people. Something quite similar happened with Paul. He was a married, 35 year old man. His wife was very happy to have found such a loving and caring husband. They were expecting a baby and would thus start with an amazing journey ahead. Paul was unaware of the calamity that was about to strike him. As usual, he woke up, had breakfast, kissed goodbye to his wife and went off to his car repair store. As he approached the store, he saw a police van standing right outside his car shop. Amazed and confused, he got down from his car to see the commotion happening there. He went and asked a police officer what had happened. The police officer asked him whether he was the owner of the shop. He replied that yes, he was the owner. In a jiffy, handcuffs were tied around his hands and he was thrown in the police van. On reaching the station, he was told that illegal drugs were found in his shop. He was horrified and shocked. His whole world was about to crumble and collapse. In a few hours from then, he found himself behind bars. There were so many prisoners along with him in the same prison. He was in deep shock and couldn’t help but collapse down with a panic attack. He regained his consciousness after a few hours. The police officer then came and told him that he was charged with drug trafficking. He tried to explain to the officer that he wasn’t even aware of this but the officer refused to listen. His wife then came in to visit him. She asked for permission to visit him and told him that she received a call via some random person who was asking for ransom money. When she refused to give him, the person on call told his wife that he was the one who had kept the drugs in his shop. His wife was shocked and explained this to Paul. Paul told her to transfer the ransom amount as soon as possible. She went back home and transferred the money via her laptop. After a few minutes, she received a call and the person assured her that Paul will be out of jail soon. In a few hours, she received a call from the police station. It was Paul. He had been released from the prison and was now on his way back home. Paul’s wife sat back, closed her eyes and breathed a heavy sigh. This was perhaps one of the most tragic days of their lives. It all came to an end when Paul returned back home. They both hugged each other and exchanged a sigh of deep relief.
