Once upon a time there was a girl named Tara and her brother Ram who lived with their parents in a small house born as disabled child. They were not treated well by the society and even the family. Their father did not like them and wanted to get rid of them but their mother had some affection for them. They were taken to doctor for treatment but they could not fight through their disability. Their parents didn’t pay that much attention towards them. They were left like the garbage left in the dustbin. Even the society didn’t treat them well. People looked differently towards them. This caused mental pressure to both of them. They tried escaping from the world because of societal and family pressure. Both Tara and Ram were genius students having knowledge of each and everything. They even participated in various sports competitions even after their bodies did not support them.
Their mother had some affection for both the children. She tried to answer the society on behalf of them and tried to protect them from the harsh world which is full of negativity and their mindset about differently abled people who tried to take away from them their equality and treat them differently from others.
Even the important opportunities and roles were taken away from them because of this reason even if they were mentally strong enough to perform that role.
One day their English teacher gave Ram and Tara the opportunity to participate in a debate competition on national level as she saw the talent in them besides their disability. Both of them participated and won the debate competition with first prize and made their school proud. Then they both were also given prizes by the school principal. Despite this they also represented the country in Archery and table tennis.
This brought some confidence in both of them and started living life happily. Their parents also realized that they were wrong and they felt bad for what they did to both of their children. This changed the mindset of society and gave real inspiration to several disabled people like them who faced the same situation as Tara and Ram. At last the family lived happily together. The story ended on a happy note.
Moral of the story:
Nothing is impossible
Everybody is equal
