Chapter XXXXV: A Success in a Failure

Date: 16th June 2012

Place: Abhiramapuram

 

Kannan said, “Check the other rooms also”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir”

 

Pugazhendhi went on to the next room to check, while Kannan was standing near the dead body.

Pugazhendhi shouted from the next room, “Sir, please come here”

 

On hearing it, Kannan ran to the next room.

There he found another dead body.

 

The body got placed as such its stomach and chest are touching the ground.

They wanted to see the face of the body.

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “Sir, can I turn the body upwards?”

Kannan said, “Yes, turn it”

 

Pugazhendhi took a stool nearby and pushed the shoulders of the dead body to turn it upward.

Kannan said, “This is Sirish”

 

But there was a paper displayed on the dead body’s chest part.

It said, “I am dead, but you will not any evidence or even my dead body from here”

 

Kannan and Pugazhendhi got stumbled on seeing it.

Kannan plucked that paper from the body.

 

Below the paper, there was a Bomb fixed in the body.

It was a time bomb and the ticking of the time got kept in a silent mode.

 

The timer showed 3 minutes to get blasted.

Pugazhendhi shouted, “Bomb!!! Sir”

 

Kannan shouted, “Everybody Run! Run! Run!”

Kannan and Pugazhendhi ran out of the room.

 

The others too ran before them on hearing their scream.

The team came down and stairs and flew to their jeep.

 

They took the jeep and flew to the compound gate.

After they came out, they stopped their vehicle.

The Bomb exploded and the whole building collapsed.

Kannan noticed that there was a car park attached to the building.

 

The car park too got damaged including the cars parked over there.

Kannan said, “See, there is a car park”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir, BMW cars could be a part of the damaged cars”

Kannan said, “Yes”

 

Kannan said, “What is your opinion on this case now Pugazh?”

Pugazhendhi said,”Rawat is the main culprit sir”

 

Kannan said,”Ok, then why did he kill Sirish?”

Pugazhendhi said,” May be out of situation”

 

Kannan said, “Yes, on knowing that he is going to lose the game to us”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes because he watched our movements through CCTV camera”

 

Kannan said, “Yes, our strength is that we kept security guards in Farooq’s house”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, we placed them immediately after Farooq’s murder”

 

Kannan said, “Yes, that is why Rawat used the Robot to attack Prabhu on the day of his visit”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, then Sirish and Rawat have joined hands to kill their friend, Farooq”

 

Kannan said, “Yes, that is the best possible chance”

Pugazhendhi said, “But, Farooq’s murder also could have happened under unavoidable circumstances”

 

Kannan said, “Yes”

Pugazhendhi said, “One more point I would like to make”

 

Kannan asked, “What it is?”

Pugazhendhi asked, “Where are the household employees of Rawat?’’

 

Kannan said, “Yes, I too have the doubt”

Pugazhendhi said, “He should have sent them away”

 

Kannan said, “Or else, he might not have employed anyone”

Pugazhendhi asked, “Not even a gatekeeper and a cook?”

 

Kannan said, “Yes, I too have the same doubt”

Pugazhendhi said, “Or else, Rawat might have sent them away before our arrival”

 

Kannan said, “There can be a possibility for that”

Pugazhendhi said, “Do we need to search for them?”

 

Kannan said, “We will note it in our report, but searching for them is a vague process”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir, the chances of them being criminal is 50%”

 

Kannan said,”Hmmm…!! Yes”

Pugazhendhi asked, “What about the murder of Inspector Raja?”

 

Kannan said, “Sirish Kumar could be the murderer”

Pugazhendhi said, “And the person who attacked us in Hotel Sangeeth could also be Sirish”

Kannan said, “Yes, Sirish”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “at last, he too died”

Kannan took his phone and called the Headquarters.

 

The officer in Headquarters answered, “Hello”

Kannan said, “Hello is this Angshuman?”

 

The other end said, “Yes, Angshuman here”

Kannan said,”Angshuman, we had a bomb blast here”

 

Angshuman exclaimed, “Bomb blast! Where?”

Kannan said, “Here, in Abhiramapuram”

 

Angshuman asked, “What is your need now?”

Kannan said, “Send me some extra forces, fire engine and support”

 

Angshuman said, “Yes sir”

Kannan said, “It is very urgent”

 

Angshuman said, “I will do it immediately sir”

Kannan said,”Ok”

 

Kannan disconnected the phone call.

A fire engine reached the spot within 15 minutes.

 

After half an hour, extra team came to help.

But, it was as per Rawat’s wish, they were not able to get any valuable pieces of evidence for the case from there.

 

Everything burnt including the cars, documents, etc.

Kannan said, “Here also, this Rawat only won “

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “How sir?”

Kannan said, “At last, as he wished, he destroyed all the evidence and himself”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “I would say it as his Success in his Failure”

Kannan said, “Yes, it can be said like that”

 

The money which found in the basement of Farooq’s house got announced as black money.
