He entered the room looking for her but found no one in the house. So he slept on her bed for a while and when he woke up, there was still no trace of Rose. He was worried about her as he hadn’t seen her in a while and hadn’t been answering his calls. Rose had earlier mentioned some important work to attend to. She had left him with a red box back at his place in case she hadn’t made contact with him within the month. So, he decided to go back to his place and open the box. He reached his house and was about to open his door when he saw a girl waiting by the gate terrified. She was a young girl and looked around fifteen years of age. She was blonde and had deep blue eyes. He asked her who she was and what she was doing at his house.

But, all she did was scream “ She killed them, she killed them all”.

Later she told him that her name was Abby and that she was lost on the way back from the church.

She pleaded with him to let her stay for the night and so he agreed. Once inside the house, he asked her more about her and so she told him her story. She told him that her father was a priest and her mother an antique dealer. But, both of them were murdered by her elder sister at the cathedral. When she saw this she ran for her life which led her to his house. He noticed something shining on her hand.

“It is my mother’s,” said Abby, noting him staring at her hand.

She told him that the ring was gifted to her on her sixteenth birthday and that it was a family heirloom.

“Get some sleep” he told her.

He was terrified after hearing her story, but he didn’t want to worry her so he quietly left the room and picked up his phone. He was about to call the police when suddenly he remembered about the red box. He went to his room and opened it. He was startled by what he saw so much that he threw it on the floor. He couldn’t believe what he saw, but there it was; the antique ring which he had seen a moment ago on the girl’s hand. He leaped to his feet and ran towards the girl’s room. But, he couldn’t find her. She was gone. Suddenly he heard a noise outside and ran towards the noise. He then saw the girl walking towards the direction of the church.

“Stop”, he screamed.

But she kept walking until she reached the church. He was surprised to see that the church was deserted even after the murders. He searched for bodies but found none.

“Who are you”, he asked her.

“I am Abby Margaret, daughter to Harry and Ginny Margaret, sister of Rose Margaret”.

He suddenly remembered that fifteen years ago there was a murder which happened at this church to the Margaret family.

“Rose?” he asked terrified.

“Yes, she killed me and my parents fifteen years ago”.

“From that day on she had been trying to bring me back. Now that it’s done, I finally got my revenge by killing her. I came to you only because I want that ring back as it is cursed. It is not wise to leave it with the humans as it triggers unwanted emotions”. So he gave her the ring back.

“Sorry, I have to kill you too because you have seen all of this”. So she touched him on his forehead and so he fainted. He woke up with a start in Rose’s room and as she hasn’t come home yet, he decided to go back to his own house. When he reached his home, he saw a girl standing by his gate….
