Once upon a time, in a small little town, there lived a girl named Nila. She was very kind hearted girl and loved animals. She always wanted to have a furry companion. One tuesday afternoon, her wish came true. As she was walking back from the park, she saw a small, abandoned labrador puppy.
The little puppy had captivating blue eyes. He was very scared and had a tail that would not stop wagging between his legs. How could Nila ever ignore those puppy dog eyes! She scooped him up into her arms and took him home. She gave him a bath, some food to eat and he then fell asleep instantly. Nila and her little brother, Peter both decided to call him Bruno.
As the days passed, Nila, Peter and Bruno became the best of friends. They went to the park together, went for ice-creams and pup-cups together, Bruno even sat with them at the dining table! Their whole world lit up because of Bruno!
However, one chilly morning, Nila soon discovered that Bruno was not acting normal. He refused to eat or drink water, he did not want to go out for walks and just slept throughout. Nila and her mother took Bruno to the veterinarian, who diagnosed Bruno with a serious illness which had no cure. Nila’s mother did not know how to break the news to her and tried to ease the situation by telling her that he had fallen really ill and required special care. Nila said she would do anything for Bruno and slept by his side at the vet’s clinic.
As months passed, little Bruno’s condition did not get any better. He constantly slept and did not want to leave the house. Nila and Peter were by his side at every moment. They comforted him during the long nights and gave him his medication with love. With every passing day, the kids prayed for his recovery.
It had now been exactly one year that Nila got Bruno home. When Nila woke up in the morning, she was startled to see Bruno running around the house without a break. She was overjoyed and woke the entire house up. It was a miracle how Bruno recovered, even the vet was shocked! They then baked him a dog-friendly cake and celebrated his first birthday and recovery. Little Bruno could not contain his excitement either, he constantly licked everyone around and smiled from ear-to-ear!
The kids were very happy that Bruno was healthy again and they continued to make countless memories together and their bond grew stronger with each passing day. They lived the rest of their days with utmost happiness. Who knew one little puppy could change someone’s life!
