They were totally hooked on the book and couldn’t stop talking about the amazing characters like Evelyn and Celia. The way the writer described their love story in the backdrop of the 50s and 60s was mind-blowing. They were also impressed by Harry’s character and how he stood by Evelyn. The author loved the deep messages about LGBTQ+ issues, racism, and humanity. Overall, they couldn’t find anything they didn’t like, except for some unnecessary parts towards the end.
