Chapter 11: Stable minds

Date: 19th July 2012, Thursday

Place: Pulipakkam

Pugazhendhi walked through the shrubs along the rear side compound wall.

When he reached the midpoint of the length of the compound wall, he stopped.

There was a clear space from there towards the open land which existed back to the farmhouse.

He walked in the clear space.

He thought that the culprit could have used that route only.

Somanathan was looking at him from his point.

Pugazhendhi kept on walking in his path.

After 300m from the rear side wall, he stopped.

From there he looked around.

At nearly 200m from the point where he was standing, he had a mud road access.

Pugazhendhi went towards that mud road.

He stopped after reaching the mud road.

Pugazhendhi saw tyre marks there also.

It was running towards the east.

The Tyre marks were very similar to that of which he found in Muniamma’s case.

Pugazhendhi took his mobile phone and took photographs.

Pugazhendhi said to himself,”hmmm… same guys”

Pugazhendhi kept the mobile phone into his pocket.

He walked back towards the place where he left Somanathan.

Somanathan was expecting him with eagerness in his eyes.

Pugazhendhi reached the place where Somanathan was standing.

Somanathan asked, “What sir, did you find anything?”

Pugazhendhi smiled,”mmm…no sir”

Somanathan said,”hmmm”

Pugazhendhi saw is the watch, it was 3 p.m.

Pugazhendhi said, “Sir, it is 3 p.m., I need to go”

Somanathan said,”Ok sir, in this case, you can call me at any time and use my help”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok sir, I will “

Both of them walked along the wall and came to the front side of the farmhouse.

They entered the farmhouse through the gate.

The watchman respected Somanathan with a salute.

Somanathan smiled at him.

Both of them walked to Pugazhendhi’s jeep.

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, sir I will be in touch with you”

Somanathan took his visiting card and gave it to him.

Pugazhendhi got the card and kept it in his pocket.

Pugazhendhi got into the jeep.

Pugazhendhi smiled at Somanathan as Apparao started the jeep.

The jeep came out of the farmhouse and left the place.

Somanathan felt as if Pugazhendhi was a very close friend of him.

Pugazhendhi too felt the same.

Maybe it could have been due to the reason that both their minds were against the business thieves.

Apparao asked, “Sir, it seems that you took a very long time for investigation”

Pugazhendhi said,”Hmmm….yes sir”

Apparao asked, “Did you find something?”

Pugazhendhi said, “I gave Somanathan all the answers for his questions”

Apparao said,”Oh! Great sir”

Pugazhendhi said, “But I am not able to find the culprit”

Apparao laughed,”Ha! Ha! Ha!”

Pugazhendhi said, “What I feel is the muniamma’s case and Somanathan’s case have common culprits”

Apparao said, “Sir, that is a Sugarcane cutting, here this is a theft”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…I accept, but see the loss occurring to the businessmen involved”

Apparao said, “Yes sir”

Pugazhendhi said, “Stable minds can sustain a business loss”

Apparao said, “I don’t understand your language sir”

Pugazhendhi continued, “Unstable minds who experience a business loss, shall lose their lives”

Apparao said, “Sir, I think I have not grown up to your level”

Pugazhendhi said, “Don’t worry about your growth, and live in the presence”

Chapter 10: An analytical walk through

Date: 19th July 2012, Thursday

Place: Pulipakkam

Somanathan said, “Sir, Lunch has come for us”

Pugazhendhi said,” Yes sir, I too feel hungry”

Somanathan said,”Ok, let us go to the dining table”

Both of them went to the dining table.

Pugazhendhi and Somanathan had lunch together.

After the lunch, Pugazhendhi asked, “are you sure sir, you don’t want to register a complaint”

Somanathan said, “Yes sir, don’t want, but if you identify the criminals, please inform me”

Pugazhendhi said, “Why sir, do you feel like taking revenge?”

Somanathan said, “No, this kind of guys should not be alive in the field”

Somanathan said, “They don’t know, whom they have touched”

Pugazhendhi said, “Sir, they have touched all first class businessmen”

Somanathan said, “But if I get them in my hands, they will not have another life”

Pugazhendhi laughed,”Ha! Ha! Ha! Control your anger sir”

Somanathan said, “Why sir?”

Pugazhendhi said, “The one who is controlling his anger only can fight them”

Somanathan said,”Oh! I see”

Pugazhendhi said, “I asked to control the anger of Mr. Solomon”

Pugazhendhi added, “But he went before me, Boom!!! He got dead”

Somanathan was staring at Pugazhendhi.

Pugazhendhi said, “If I am alive today, that is due to my patience and perseverance in this case”

Somanathan said, “But I am not able to tolerate this sir”

Pugazhendhi said, “Leave it to me”

Somanathan said,”hmmm”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, Sir I want to make a walk around the bungalow”

Somanathan said, “Can I assist you?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…Ok, but if I find some evidence, don’t expect me to explain you everything”

Somanathan said,”Ok sir”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…Ok sir, come let us go”

Both of them came out of the bungalow.

Pugazhendhi walked in the front and Somanathan followed him.

Pugazhendhi first went to the outer periphery of the bungalow, where the window at ceiling level existed.

He stood from the point below it on the ground.

There was a sunshade cantilever below that window.

Pugazhendhi said, “So, he could have sat in that cantilever slab and made the sleeping shot”

Somanathan said,”mmm…possibility is there”

Pugazhendhi said, “From this point, your watchman is not visible”

Somanathan said, “So, the watchman also could not have seen this point”

Pugazhendhi said,”Mmm…yes…correct”

Somanathan said, “So he has accessed by bungalow from the backside”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, what kind of security did you provide to your money?”

Somanathan said, “The key of the iron safe locker was with me”

Pugazhendhi said, “So, you thought that it two men are enough?”

Somanathan said, “Sir, nobody in my family also knows about the cash I kept here”

Pugazhendhi said, “That is the mistake you have done”

Somanathan said, “How did they reach to this place?”

Pugazhendhi said, “They could have been following your car for some days”

Somanathan said,”Oh! Is it so?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…naturally, you are a business man, so they know that you will have money”

Somanathan said,”Mmm…it is my carelessness”

Pugazhendhi said, “So we will go out of the farmhouse and walk towards the back side wall boundary”

Somanathan said, “Yes sir”

Both of them walked out of the farmhouse.

They walked towards east along the compound wall, and then they took towards the north.

At last, they reached the rear side of the farmhouse boundary.

There were many bushes and shrubs grown along the rear side wall.

Pugazhendhi said, “Sir, walking in these shrubs is somewhat difficult”

Somanathan said,”mm…Ok”

Pugazhendhi said, “I will do one thing, I will go and look out and come back”

Somanathan said, “Are you going alone?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir, please wait here”

Somanathan said,”hmm…ok”

Chapter 9: The Chosen One

Date: 19th July 2012, Thursday

Place: Pulipakkam

 

Somanathan said,”mmm…what is your assessment?”

Pugazhendhi said, “I assess that this also a work of the business thieves group”

 

Somanathan exclaimed, “What? How sir?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Because, yesterday only I attended a case”

 

Somanathan asked, “Is it a theft?”

Pugazhendhi said, “No, another variety”

 

Somanathan said, “can I know about it?”

Pugazhendhi said, “I am not to tell details at this stage”

 

Pugazhendhi added, “But I am confident that you got attacked by the group of business thieves only”

Somanathan said,”aH! Business thieves! Business thieves! I hate those guys”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “They are even a big headache to us, sir”

Somanathan said,”mmm…”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, sir I need do some more inspection around your bungalow”

Somanathan said,”mmm…please do it, feel free”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm I am hungry now, it is already lunch time”

Somanathan said,”mmm, If you go to town and have lunch, it will take time”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes”

 

Somanathan said, “Can I ask my servants to bring lunch for you here”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok sir”

 

Somanathan said, “Then please sit and relax sir”

Pugazhendhi sat on the sofa.

 

Somanathan said to Suresh, “Go and buy lunch for us and come back soon”

Suresh said, “Yes sir”

 

Suresh went out to buy lunch for them.

Somanathan sat in front of Pugazhendhi.

 

Somanathan asked, “What is the aim of these business thieves, sir?”

Pugazhendhi said, “They will attack businessmen”

 

Somanathan asked, “Why sir, what did we do to them?”

Pugazhendhi laughed, “a! Ha! Ha! what do I know sir; I am attending to the case and doing my best”

 

Somanathan said, “now, my fear is that, will they attack again on me or not?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…they attack a person one time only”

 

Somanathan asked, “Why so?”

Pugazhendhi said, “That is how it happened in Chennai”

 

Pugazhendhi added, “it is a usual mentality of any kind of thief”

Somanathan asked,”Oh! Is it so?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “but they choose their targets”

Somanathan said, “You mean that I got chosen?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, of course”

Somanathan said, “Still I don’t believe this because this is my secret hideout”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “What about your watch keepers?”

Somanathan said, “They are not strangers to me”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “What?”

Somanathan said, “Suresh is my distant relative”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Oh! I see”

Somanathan said, “He got educated only up to 8th standard, and did not have any job”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “So, you made him the watch keeper”

Somanathan said, “I am giving Rs.30000/- salary for him per month sir”

 

Pugazhendhi exclaimed,”Oh! My god, a watch keeper salary Rs.30000/-“

Somanathan said,”mmm…we are keeping money right?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Now your watch keeper has lost your confidence”

 

Somanathan said, “what to do, This is something which is powerful than us”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…I agree”

 

Somanathan asked, “So, you mean to say that there is the involvement of robots here”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, the front door got cut open”

 

Somanathan said, “Welding machine can cut it right?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm… I accept it, But it could have got programmed to cut”

 

Somanathan asked, “what do you mean by programmed to cut?”

Pugazhendhi said, “One of our inspectors got killed by a monkey robot”

 

Somanathan said,”Oh!”

Pugazhendhi said, “The monkey robot took out a sword from its body”

 

Pugazhendhi added, “And it pounced over him”

Somanathan said,”Oh! My god”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “at first it slashed him across”

Somanathan said,”Oh!”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “And at last, it stabbed him to ensure that he dies”

Somanathan said,”Oh! My god, I am not able to digest this”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “When compared to that case, your case is nothing sir”

Somanathan asked, “What? I have lost 1 crore sir”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “I mean to say, that they have spared your men alive”

Somanathan said,”hmmm…terrible guys, sir”

 

While they were having their conversation, Suresh entered the bungalow with lunch.

Chapter 6: Somanathan’s request

Date: 19th July 2012, Thursday

Place: Pazhamathur

 

Pugazhendhi went to his police station at 11.30 a.m.

He entered the Police station.

 

Appa Rao was looking at him with eagerness in his eyes.

On seeing him, Constable Apparao said, “Sir, you have a visitor”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “Who is it?”

Apparao said, “His name is Somanathan”

 

Pugazahendhi asked, “Who is he?”

Apparao said, “He is a big businessman in this locality”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “Where is he now?”

Apparao said, “In your cabin sir”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “Did he say any complaint?”

Apparao said, “He said that he will tell it to you only”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok, Thank you”

Saying so, Pugazhendhi went to his cabin.

 

A man in white shirt and white dhoti in the age of around 45 years was sitting in his cabin.

Pugazhendhi said, “Good morning sir”

 

Somanathan said, “Good morning”

Pugazhendhi said, “You are Mr.Somanathan right?”

 

Somanathan said, “Yes Mr. Pugazhendhi”

Pugazhendhi asked, “Yes sir, what can I do for you?”

 

Somanathan said, “Before starting, I would like to say something”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes tell me”

 

Somanathan said, “I have heard a lot about you”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…That Rawat and Farooq case right”

 

Somanathan said, “Yes sir, you have done an extraordinary job in that case”

Pugazhendhi asked, “How did you know, because, at last, I got sidelined from the case and given a transfer”

 

Somanathan said, “In every industry, they have jealousy and greed”

Pugazhendhi laughed,”Ha! Ha! Ha!”

 

Somanathan said, “But stars like you always shine, wherever you are”

Pugazhendhi said, “Are you mocking me or congratulating?”

Somanathan laughed,”Ha! Ha! Ha!, In this country, I am not able to congratulate even”

Pugazhendhi said, “Sorry sir, what is your problem, tell me first”

 

Somanathan said, “I have a bungalow in Padalam and I stay there”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok”

 

Somanathan said, “In Pulipakkam I have a farm house”

Pugazhendhi said, “What kind of farm house you have?”

 

Somanathan said, “I am breeding goats and hen there”

Pugazhendhi said,”Oh! I see”

 

Somanathan said, “And I run a real estate office in chengalpattu”

Pugazhendhi said,”Oh! Then you are a big businessman in this area”

 

Somanathan murmured, “I am telling only some of my business”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok”

 

Somanathan said, “Last night, a theft has happened in my farm house in Pulipakkam”

Pugazhendhi asked,”Oh! What kind of theft, what did you lose?”

 

Somanathan said, “I had an iron bureau, in which I stored cash”

Somanathan said, “The front door of the iron bureau got cut open and the total safe is now empty”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “Didn’t you have any watchmen there?”

Somanathan said, “One watchman was sitting in the front gate, he has not noticed anything”

 

Somanathan said, “Another one who used to sleep inside the house got a sleeping shot”

Pugazhendhi exclaimed, “What? Sleeping shot?”

 

Somanathan said, “yes sir, he has slept through the night when the theft has occurred”

Pugazhendhi said,”hmmm…can I see the spot?”

 

Somanathan said, “Yes, sir, will you come with me or in your jeep?”

Pugazhendhi asked, “Are you registering a case or you want me to help you private?”

 

Somanathan said,”mmm…yes, Registering a case is a trouble for me”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, I will come in my jeep, and do the needful because I don’t accept any bribes”

 

Somanathan said,”Ok! Ok! No problem”

Somanathan added, “If you help me in this case, it is a big boon for me”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok sir, I will come immediately”

Chapter V: Marudhamani

Date: 19th July 2012, Thursday

Place: Kumaravadi and Pazhamathur

 

Prabhu said, “So, we can’t take chainsaw into consideration”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…but likely a sharp rotary cutter connected to the robotic arms”

 

Prabhu said,”mmm…could be with a smooth cutting edge”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…possible”

 

Prabhu asked, “How are you going to find them out?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Last time itself, we installed CCTV cameras”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “The cost spent was high on it”

Prabhu said,”Oh I see”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “The monkey robot destroyed our control room making huge losses”

Prabhu said,”mmm”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Now, How can I request for CCTV cameras here?”

Prabhu said, “that too if we don’t know where the next attack will be?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes man, this case is always a headache to me”

Prabhu said,”hmmm…”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Come on we will go to muniamma’s house and inquire her”

Prabhu asked, “Do you have some more questions with her?”

 

Pugazhendhi said,” If anything she got noticed yesterday, she will tell us right?”

Prabhu asked,”Hmm…ok, Where is her house?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “We need to travel 1 km from here, and we will get a residential area”

Prabhu said,”Ok, come on let us go”

 

Both of them walked to the place where they parked the bike.

They got on the bike and went to the residential area which Pugazhendhi mentioned.

 

As they entered the street of Muniamma’s house, they found a huge crowd standing before muniamma’s house.

Preparations for a death funeral were going on there.

 

On seeing that Pugazhendhi said,”Hey, someone got dead in her family”

Prabhu said, “Come on let use enquire who it is?”

 

Both of them stopped the bike.

Pugazhendhi asked a passer-by, “Sir, who is dead there?”

 

The man told him, “It is the husband of Muniamma sir”

Pugahendhi asked, “What is his name?”

The man said,”Marudhamani”

Pugazhendhi asked, “How did he die?”

 

The man replied, “Yesterday night he got a heart stroke”

Pugazhendhi asked, “Was he a heart patient?”

 

The man said, “No sir, his field got spoiled, he was not able to handle the loss”

Pugazhendhi said,”Oh! Ok thank you”

 

The man walked away.

Prabhu said, “See, how many side effects of this case”

 

Prabhu added, “In one end we have got the sugarcanes destroyed, in the other end we got a death”

Pugazhendhi said, “Last time we lost our officers in the team”

 

Prabhu asked,”Ok, are you going to enquire her now?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…no, I will enquire her after two days”

 

Prabhu asked, “Then will I go to your house now?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok”

 

Both of them left the place.

They reached Palayanoor by 11 O clock.

 

Both of them entered Pugazhendhi’s house.

They sat in the chairs and relaxed.

 

Prabhu said,”Oh! It is 11 O clock”

Pugazhendhi said, “It seems, we have spent a lot of time in the field”

 

Prabhu said, “Yes”

Prabhu asked, “Did you enquire this Marudhamani yesterday?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “No, he didn’t come for giving the complaint”

Prabhu asked, “Then where was he yesterday?”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Hmm…I need to ask it with Muniamma only”

Pugazhendhi added, “Because, I did not see him in the field also”

 

Prabhu said, “Then he could have been at home”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmmm…yes, but why did not he come to give the complaint?”

 

Prabhu said,”mmm..There could have been a fight between the husband and wife”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…good judgment”

 

Prabhu said,” A detective mind is a place for all sorts of analysis”

Pugazhendhi said, “But nobody is awarding you with rewards”

 

Prabhu laughed,”Ha! Ha! Ha!”

Prabhu said,”Ok, I will make my move and you need to report for duty right?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes”

 

Prabhu said,”Ok, we will be in contact through phone, please find a house for me”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, I will do it”

 

Prabhu said, “Bye”

Pugazhendhi said, “Bye!”

 

Prabhu left the place.

Pugazhendhi went to the room in the first floor to change his dress.

 

Pugazhendhi got dressed in uniform and got ready for the duty.

Chapter IV: The site investigation

Date: 19^th July 2012, Thursday

Place: Pazhamathur and Kumaravadi

 

Prabhu asked, “Are you coming for investigation in your uniform?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…I will change my uniform”

 

Prabhu said, “Yes, come in plain clothes today”

Pugazhendhi went to his room and changed his dress.

 

He dressed in a simple plain white shirt and a black pant.

He came to the downstairs.

 

Prabhu saw him and said,”mmm…now you can be less familiar”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, come on let us go”

 

Both of them came out of the house.

Prabhu said, “we will go on my bike”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”ok”

Both of them got on the bike and started to Kumaravadi.

 

They reached the land of Muniamma at 9.30 a.m.

Prabhu saw the spoiled land.

 

Prabhu said,”Oh! My god, this is unlawful”

Both of them got down from the bike.

 

Pugazhendhi said, “come on, let us walk around”

Some people were walking around there.

 

Some of them recognized Pugazhendhi and said, “Good morning sir”

Pugazhendhi smiled at them.

 

Prabhu asked, “did you find any footprints?”

Pugazhendhi said, “here, lot of people are walking around, so there are many footprints”

 

Prabhu asked, “will I take some photographs?”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…do you have a camera?”

 

Prabhu said, “I will take using my mobile phone”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok”

 

Prabhu took some photographs.

Prabhu said, “but it looks like, all the cutting have got done by human force”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “we were not at the time of cutting”

Pugazhendhi asked, “how can we judge?”

 

Prabhu said, “I gave my opinion”

Pugazhendhi and Prabhu reached the northwest corner of the land.

 

Prabhu saw something at 200 meters from there.

Prabhu walked towards that point.

 

Pugazhendhi followed him to that point.

Pugazhendhi asked, “what have you seen?”

 

Prabhu said, “See there are some tyre marks”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm… I could have missed it yesterday”

 

Prabhu said,”hmmm…will we walk along this tyre marks?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes”

 

Prabhu said, “this cannot be a car or a light motor vehicle”

Pugazhendhi said, “it could be a mini lorry or a tempo traveller or an ambulance”

 

Prabhu said,”Mini Lorry is an open one”

Pugazhendhi said, “Tempo traveller or an ambulance are the closed types”

 

Prabhu said, “yes, the robots could got carried in a covered van type vehicles”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…these marks are leading to that rural road”

 

Prabhu asked, “where does that road lead?”

Pugazhendhi said, “if we go left on that road, we will reach the G.S.T road, which connects

Chennai to tindivanam”

 

Pugazhendhi added, “right side road leads to many places like uthiramerur, rettamangalam, etc.”

Prabhu said,”mmm… then we can’t judge where he has gone?”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…but as of now, we can still conclude that it is the job of monkey robots”

Prabhu said, “its arm power is heavy; I accept that, but the time taken to cut out all the

sugarcanes”

 

Prabhu added, “is very short”

Pugazhendhi said, “then the sword arrangement could got replaced by fine cutting tools”

 

Prabhu said,”mmm…genius you are, man!”

Pugazhendhi said, “you see, in case of doctors doing a surgery”

 

Prabhu said, “yes, the knives will be like very small, but the cutting will be smooth”

Pugazhendhi said, “yes while cutting, the noise should not come”

 

Prabhu said, “but the arm power should be high”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm… you imagine a bigger cutting tool, with a fine cutting edge”

 

Prabhu asked, “how about a chainsaw?”

Pugazhendhi said, “It can create noise”

Chapter III: Prabhu’s support

Date: 19^th July 2012, Thursday

Place: Pazhamathur and Kumaravadi

 

Pugazhendhi received a call in the early morning at 6 O clock.

Prabhu was on the line.

 

Prabhu said,”Pugazh, I have started from my home”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…so soon, Ok I will be at my station at 9 O clock”

 

Prabhu said, “No, don’t go to office first”

Pugazhendhi asked, “Why man?”

 

Prabhu said, “Last time itself I had this doubt, will I tell you?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes tell me”

 

Prabhu said, “Wherever you serve, there is a person who is an informer to the business thieves”

Pugazhendhi said, “It can’t be, from Adayar only we attacked Rawat right?”

 

Prabhu said, “But anyhow, we will be careful today”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, give me your suggestion”

 

Prabhu said, “I will come to your home”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, then?”

 

Prabhu said, “We will immediately go to the affected site”

Pugazhendhi said,”ok”

 

Prabhu said,” and one more thing, if we find some unique evidence today, don’t inform it to anybody”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, but I have reported the case to Kannan yesterday”

 

Prabhu said,”mmm…ok, that is not a problem, my concern is that evidence is to kept very secret this time”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…then only we will get full success”

 

Prabhu said, “one more thing, don’t let my name out and get scolding from your seniors”

Pugazhendhi said, “I am used to it”

 

Prabhu said,”Ok, bye, I will be there before 9 O clock”

Pugazhendhi asked, “what about breakfast?”

 

Prabhu said, “you complete your breakfast, I will do it on my way”

Prabhu added, “Our only aim is site investigation today”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok man”

The call got disconnected.

 

As discussed, Pugazhendhi finished his breakfast at his home.

Prabhu completed his breakfast on the way.

 

Prabhu reached Pazhamathur by 8.30 p.m.

From there he went to Pugazhendhi’s house in Palayanoor.

 

He took the help of a map on his mobile phone.

He reached the house of Pugazhendhi.

 

On seeing the house, he thought,”Ah! What an isolated place for discussions?”

Pugazhendhi was sitting in the front room on the ground floor.

 

Prabhu entered the house.

On seeing him, Pugazhendhi’s face got a smile.

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Oh! After one month, I am seeing a friend”

Prabhu said, “The location is very good man, for an investigating officer in a remote village”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “I only know the difficulty of working here”

Prabhu said,”mmm…how much is the rent?”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Rs.2000 per month”

Prabhu said, “wow, very cheap”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “yes, here expenses are also very less for me”

Prabhu said,”mmm…could you find me a room here below Rs.1000/- per month”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “why?”

Prabhu said, “I can hire it and will work from here for some days”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “why don’t you stay in my room?”

Prabhu said, “if somebody in your department knows about it, they will get jealous”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok, I will find immediately”

Prabhu said, “But don’t find in this same village”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “yes, I will find it in some nearby village”

Prabhu said, “I have decided to stand with you”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok my friend”

Prabhu said, “together we will fight those business thieves”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Kannan sir also has promised me that he will be coming here tomorrow”

Prabhu said,”Oh! That is great man; it is because of your hard work in the last case”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm… somebody at some place remembers my hard work”

Prabhu said, “don’t stagnate man, and keep going on”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok”

This is the continuation to the story of Business Thieves. Pugazhendhi thought that he was fully out of the case. But he finds that he is not too far from the business thieves.They are after him.

 

Chapter II: Challenge

Date: 18th July 2012

Place: Palayanoor
Pugazhendhi had rented an independent house in Palayanoor village.

House rent was very cheap in that Village.
He paid only Rs.2000 per month.

He used his two wheeler to commute between his station and his house.
Most of the days, he had less number of cases.

The troublesome case which he got first in Pazhamathur case was the case of Muniamma.
He left the station by 5 clock in the evening.

Pugazhendhi entered his house and took a bath.
After the bath, he prepared tea for himself.

In his street there were many village people walking around.
Most of them will come and wish him good evening, Good Morning, etc.

He used to accept the respect paid by them.
Though there were no major cases for him, he got good respect in that area.

They liked him because he used to prepare his own food.
That was new to them.

But the fact was that, he had some digestive trouble, so he avoided food from hotels.
Rarely did he go to hotels.

While he was working in Chennai, he had a different kind of loneliness.
After coming to Pazhamathur, still he was more isolated.

The House in which he stayed had a ground floor and a first floor.
He used the first floor room as his bedroom.

There was a window in that bedroom.
If he sleeps in the night time, moon will light up his room through that big window.

He felt very blissful for getting that type of sleep.
Now, he was in the first floor drinking his tea.

After drinking the tea, he laid on his bed.
His mind again thought of the monkey robot.

Pugazhendhi thought, “What will I do now?”
Pugazhendhi said,”Ok! I will inform Kannan”

He took his mobile phone and dialled to Kannan.
Kannan answered the call, “Hello Pugazhendhi, How are you?”

Pugazhendhi answered, “Fine sir, and how you are sir?”
Kannan said, “I am fine, here everything is ok”

Pugazhendhi said, “But I have a problem here and thought of informing you”
Kannan asked, “What is the problem?”

Pugazhendhi said, “A sugarcane field of a lady called Muniamma got destroyed”
Kannan asked, “What? How?”

Pugazhendhi said, “it could be got done by the monkey robot”

Kannan said, “We have destroyed Rawat’s team completely right?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “But we thought that there was only one monkey robot”

Kannan said, “Yes”
Pugazhendhi said, “Here the area destroyed is 10 acres”

Kannan said,”Oh! My god”
Pugazhendhi said, “In a single night”

Kannan said, “What were the people doing at that time?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “They say that they did not even hear any sound”

Kannan said, “How is that possible?”
Pugazhendhi said, “The process has happened in silence”

Kannan said,”mmm…”
Pugazhendhi said, “After a long thought process, I conclude that this is a work of Business thieves”

Kannan said, “Tomorrow I have another case, I will come on Friday and see you”
Pugazhendhi said, “Please come sir, we need to act”

Kannan said, “Don’t worry, we will curb them”
Pugazhendhi said, “That is how we thought last time”

Pugazhendhi added, “Today is exactly one month after my transfer”
Kannan said,”mmm…Oho”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, I got my transfer order in my hands on 18th June”
Kannan said, “And today is 18th July”

Pugazhendhi said, “Are they targeting me”
Kannan said, “Don’t imagine unnecessary things man”

Pugazhendhi said, “I am not imagining, it is happening like that”
Kannan said, “If they are angry on you, why did not they attack you in direct?”

Pugazhendhi said, “They are giving me a challenge”

Kannan said,”Oh! Challenge, hmmm… ok first I will come there”
Kannan added, “Then, we will take a decision”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok sir”
