It’s often said that the greatest mistake one can never make is the fear of not making mistakes at all. The story of Thrupti’s real life experience on handling mistakes wisely and excelling in her career would surely inspire you to face any misstep in the boldest ways possible.

Hailing from the glorious city of South India, Thrupti has been an ambitious girl since childhood. However, just like any youngster out there, Thrupti felt a lot confused about the question “What do you want to be when you grow up? “. Well, to fulfil her parents wish and make her family proud, Thrupti went on to study Architecture Course for her graduation. She aced the NATA architecture exam and grabbed herself a seat in a prominent university in Bengaluru. The ride began smoothly and her early days in college, studying architecture felt quite dreamy to her. However, as years passed by, during her mid session in college, she felt a lot trapped in the course her parents chose for her. Thrupti failed to focus properly on her studies, her grades deteriorated, her mental health took worse turns; Thrupti realised that even though she loves creating art and painting, the architecture school was all about pointing out her flaws, only to make her work harder.

After a year of failing to score better grades, Thrupti, being helpless, tried to talk to her parents to let her change her graduation course to Journalism. It was only after she eloped from her own home and stayed away from her parents for days, when her parents finally agreed to allow her to opt for Journalism.

Thrupti enrolled herself in the Journalism and Mass communication course, despite her close ones considering her a loser; her mother wasn’t supportive of her taking a humanities subject, but Thrupti had faith in herself and her dedication. Thrupti advanced from being an unknown in architecture to serving as a student editor for her university’s newsletter and then interning at one of the popular newspapers in India. She made sure to never repeat her past mistakes and crafted out a prosperous career for her in journalism. Thrupti is now a successful journalist of a renowned News Channel.

Every life is a canvas and everyone has a beautiful sketch to paint.
