This story will be written in 3 parts, like a mini-series. Hope you enjoy Part 1

Preview:(Part3)

With Tears down my face, I stood there helplessly watching him leave. I prayed for one last time so that something could happen and he would stay. I hoped for him to be more than just a memory from the past; I wanted him to be someone I could share my present and future with…

                                                                                                               But he left…

Part 1: It turns out he is my roommate-

Being me sucked. In fact, being me in university meant that you’d find yourself labeled as the uncool kid with a seemingly mundane existence. I was definitely the cliche “bookworm” you’d see being portrayed in some boring young adult movie by Hollywood. I was that kid that spent countless hours with piles of books in some dimly lit corner of the library or cafeteria, with a social life you’d imagine as non-existent. But before I get going with the weird details of my life, let me introduce myself. Hi, I’m Aiden Alexander. And as you may have already figured out, I’m an introvert who loves to keep to himself. So now, since we’ve got this out of the way, let me return to the rant about the uncool me and my university life. Like I was saying, I’m a bookworm with a non-existent social life, and this meant that I don’t have many friends except for Jaby and Tina, whom I met during a book talk by one of my favorite authors. Jaby and Tina are one of the sweetest souls you could find on campus, and it turns out they have been together forever; listening to them talk about each other could sometimes feel like a story by Jane Austen. Meeting them indeed felt like being that introvert who got adopted by an extrovert.

Ok, now here’s the thing I recently moved into the dorms on campus, and I used to be one of the lucky ones who didn’t have a roommate, so I had my dorm room all to myself. But today, I was notified that someone would be moving into my room. Tina tried convincing me that it would be fun to have a roommate, but all I could think of was that I get some weird, messy dude that would intrude into my personal space, and I, indeed, wasn’t ready for that. But later that evening, when I went back to my room, I was surprised to see Joshua in my room. Not to mention Joshua is one of the popular music guys on campus, and I’ve had a massive crush on him since seeing him during the freshmen orientation. I stared at him, mouth wide open as he tried to get his bags in. He taps on my shoulder, snapping me back to reality (I get it, Awkward!). He asks me if this is my room, and I say yes. We then go on to introduce ourselves. He then goes on to say that he would be my new roommate.

Okay, great, now he’s my roommate (the whatttttt!!! I’m literally screaming inside). But I keep calm and say ok, that’s cool. He then asked if I could help him unpack and stuff. And of course, I said yes (I know… I kinda sound like a simp, but whatever HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MANNN!!!).
