His book INBOX: HEAVEN explores a powerful idea: what happens when a message meant for heaven reaches the wrong hands? Slowly, these events intertwine, opening doors between the human world, the underworld, and a realm that feels like heaven’s inbox. In this interview, Shrikanta shares the inspiration behind INBOX: HEAVEN, the challenges he faced as a writer, his unique writing process, and his advice for young authors who are just beginning their journey.
What is the story behind your book? Where did you get your idea for the book?
The idea was just an instinct. It just came to my mind, and I expanded the story.
What challenges did you face while writing this book and in your life as an author?
The challenges were that I started writing the story very shirt like very briefly, but then slowly I made it slow and interesting.
What is your life mantra?
Just believe karma.
What is your writing process like?
I first start outlining all the chapters on the notes app using a stylus, and then I open a doc in Google then I start writing the script. It will take some months, and then I’ll format the book myself using suitable fonts in Word and submit it to the publisher, they review and make me do changes if required, and then it gets published.
Anything special about your book that you want to share?
It is not an ordinary crime novel; it is a mix of crime, satanic rituals, and emotions.
According to you, what are the three qualities an author must have to achieve success?
Patience, Ability to think, create the tension.
What are your plans for the next book?
I don’t have any plans right now.
What advice do you have for young writers?
I am a young writer, but yes, I can give a suggestion that you should never stop, no matter if you get sales or not, no matter if people discourage you.
