Safar

Time continues; that’s why time eventually creates farewells, and it always leaves people with regrets, if you love someone, you have to tell them now before your fleeting days become filled with regret.

February 2002, the weather is freezing and it is almost 2 Am Rishi is waiting for his train at the station. he is sitting there alone almost freezing to death, continuously checking his watch suddenly reminded of someone he opens his diary and stares at the blank pages as if he wants to write something he opens another page of the diary where there was a completely dry rose he takes his pen and started to write something. Finally at 2:20 am his train arrived. Rishi is searching for his seat but it is too dark to see at night he takes out the lamp from his bag and begins to find his seat again. ” ohh there it is C36″. As he moved towards his seat he saw a man already sleeping there and in front of him two other men were also sleeping. Rishi tried to wake them up but couldn’t after so many unsuccessful attempts finally one of them woke up and asked him” What happened hero??”. Rishi told him “Gentleman if the man who is sleeping on my seat is with you so can you please tell him to get off?”

He won’t wake up this easily, the other man says, you can sit with us for the time being. After some hesitation, Rishi sits in the middle of those two men. One of them asks him where he is going. He replied, “To the last station”.

Three of them were sitting in silence and suddenly the person who was sleeping in Rishi’s seat woke up and he started to ask for water from the others. One of the men replied “Shut up” and told Rishi “Hero you can take your seat now, do you want to travel to your destination by sitting in my lap? Rishi moves toward his seat now there is a silence between the four of them. Breaking the silence one of them initiates a conversation by asking Rishi where he is going and what his name is. Rishi replied

” Gentleman, my name is Rishi Tripathi and I am going to Ahmedabad. Rishi’s phone started ringing, he picked up the call and answered “Dear I didn’t forget to call you, I just got busy with something, hey listen…..” everyone stared at Rishi and out of curiosity one asked

Hero what happened?? Did you fight with Bhabhiji?? Rishi replied “Gentlemen she is not my Mrs., she is the person on whom I write poetries, but she always complains

You don’t love me, you are always busy with your poems and stories but who will tell her? Madam, all my poetries are just for you, I only thought about you before writing, and after writing. You know what she will never know. I have died a thousand times when she holds my hand while talking. My inner poet and lover are always in a conflict over who likes her better.” Rishi opens his diary and shows them the dry rose. ” This is the rose that I purchased for her for a long time but couldn’t gather the courage to give her but this time I’ll surely give this to her and confess my love. One of the men says to him” Brother first go and get a new rose, otherwise she will probably throw this in your face.”

Everybody starts laughing, and the train coach filled with the laughter

Everybody started to share their stories and we can say a good friendship begins to start between those strangers. Sometimes our small initiatives are enough to bloom a new relationship and if you want to experience a completely weird and unique story, travel will give you this.

But unfortunately, their destinies are twisted apart, and sometimes life has worse plans for you.

At noon 2 pm, the train crashed, and almost every traveller died on the spot. This tragedy shocked the whole nation, and the victim’s families came to identify the body of their loved ones.

Police identified a man named Rishi whose face is completely unrecognised but found a bag near him that contains his ID and a diary which has a dry rose in it.

Some stories are meant to be tragic,

Everything destroys but a story remains in everyone’s heart.

It’s such an amazing story but with a sad ending.
It’s sorrowful to see all the passengers loosing their life in a very unfortunate incident.
Rishi being unable to confess his love directly, dies of a tragic incident. He wanted to tell her love about his feelings but destiny had something other planned for him. He didn’t realised that time never waits for anyone.
One should not wait for the correct time instead should do the task and then make it correct. When a person wants to convey anything but is unable to say it, confess it rather then it becoming a regret for the lifetime. This is what life is very unpredictable, you never know what may happen next.
It’s truly an appropriate depiction of human emotions. How beautiful and complicated they are. They appear simple but a lot goes behind them, in building them.
Life is like a roller coaster ride filled with catastrophic and happy moments.
Rishi died but his diary made him immortal which will never die, his emotions, his feelings are eternal. By penning down his thoughts, he confessed his feelings. He died, but his love remained forever.
This story beautifully captures the essence of human emotions. What a person goes through when he’s unable to confess his feelings. And how a human heart dies with a unsaid story , having thousands of emotions, feelings.
Life is very unpredictable. Enjoy every bits of it and don’t wait for the right time, because some times the right time never comes and a certain things are left unsaid, unspoken leaving behind a regret for lifetime.
Sometimes the ‘SAFAR’ (journey) of the life actually becomes a ‘suffer’. It’s hard but one has to spend it.
Truly, a commendable effort. The story was perfect, revolving correctly around the protagonist and the side characters. Appropriately, capturing the essence of human life.
